I really miss the madness, Simon being on the show makes the whole thing feel overly serious and there is nobody to lighten the mood. I'd prefer to have Nicole over Cheryl, too.

I miss her on the show so much. Such a mistake to get rid of her. I hope she smashes her performance tomorrow.

Come back Nicole, Gary and Sharon, don't like Cowell, Cheryl, Mel and Louis

Totally agree. Really liked last years panel. One of the best ever.

I would love Simon, Gary, Kelly Rowland and Sharon.

And to think, she was on par with Paula Abdul as the worst thing about the first season of X Factor USA.

Mel is a bit too sour and holds too many random grudges. She has had it in for Fleur from the start because she wanted Paul to perform All About That Bass in Week 1, but it was Simon's turn for first choice that week.

I'm not a huge fan of Mel but she is so much better than the attention seeking annoying Nichole. I really could not stand her.

I'm Loving Mel B. I's so glad she's doing the show this year.

Think the only change will be Tulisa replacing mel

Love Nicole - I do miss her.
They wouldn't have her on the same panel as Cheryl
Cheryl's dislike of Nicole is well known

I definitely think Sharon, Nicole and Gary had better chemistry than the current lineup. They should replace Louis with Gary and bring back Sharon. Cheryl is good for the relevancy factor and Mel is good at being the nasty one. I wouldn't mind a Tulisa or Nicole return either.

Mel is going to kill the show if she continues as judge, she makes me want to kill myself.. so depressing.

Even Simon has a laugh occasionally.

Cheryl does not like Nicole . hence Nicole saying she would not return as 'simon made his choice'

I MISS NICOLE VERY MUCH,
Cheryl's return VERY OVER-RATED, no point really

Simon makes it serious?

Are we watching the same show?

I would have preferred Nicole over Cheryl, myself.

Nicole was my guilty pleasure. Not only can she "sang", she can back it up with a goofy personality that is entertaining as a viewer.

She could be fun, but her need for attention was too much at times. Her performance with Jahmene still amuses me.

Nicole is funnier than the whole of the current panel put together. I knew it was a mistake to get rid of her. Prefer Gary to Simon as well.

I like Mel's honesty, although she is quite brash at times, in fact at most times . I enjoyed what I saw of Nicole on the show (I didn't watch much then), but I don't think she was as invested in her acts as Mel.

I must admit I do like that Mel seems invested in her contestants, but that seems to happen in every judge's first year. It is only in later years they develop into not giving much of a damn.

As far as judges go though Nicole seemed invested in her contestants.
