Usual Over-hyping; accompanied by ridiculous Over-Marking.

The show has now become a parody of the original incarnation. I just don't recognise it from the early days when it was really good light entertainment.

It was a fantastic show tonight and the scores well deserved.


Considering there is a thread for the show tonight not sure why this single comment couldn't be posted on the active thread.

I don't like the extra dancers being there, it's very distracting. Too many 10s as well!

There were some incredible dances tonight, some mediocre ones and yes some not so good.

But the show itself was gorgeous and I do think that a healthy dose of Zoe is loosening up Tess. I do adore Claud as well and miss her.

I thought it was a great show and all the celebrities stepped up their game. 10 out of 10 for me.

There was overmarking but there was actually some very good dancing as well. The leaderboard order seemed roughly ok to me at the end as well. So forget the marking and enjoy the dancing.

Thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.

underwhelming. hated all the extra dancers and silly props so distracting seriously the bbc is gonna disappear up its own a**e soon and terrible camera work too many flashing lights it was so bad it was good

Some brilliant dancing tonight, thought it was the best show of the series and I usually hate Blackpool!

Don't know why the knockers bother to watch strictly, show was fantastic, marks were fair in my humble opinion, even Judy upped her dance ability. Well done to ALL involved.

Although i enjoyed the show as well.

Not too keen but they do add to the spectacle, It is also probably more challenging for the celebrity to cope with extra dancers even if they are all very good professionals.

And me. After the horrors of the dreadful Halloween, how great to have a show that was 'just Strictly', and very well done .

The backing dancers were more intrusive than last year. Some were over dancing which showed up the celeb (Caroline's Jive), blocked the celeb to hide them intensionally (Jakes AS) and then others were so eye-drawingly poor my eye drew to them (Natascha in Frankie's Quickstep).

I thought it was one of the poorer Blackpool shows I can remember tbh. Some of the costumes were terrible also. Pixie was the standout for me and even then I wasn't overly invested.

Can't beat the grandeur of Blackpool Tower, though. It's simply a stunning venue to take in.

Also I'm sure some members of the show had a few shots of something.

Much better than last week, but it didn't have the same magic the Blackpool show usually has, with the two notable exceptions being the opening pro number and Simon's AT.

Far too much theatricality, too many props and production tricks, and don't get me started on the backing dancers, which just highlighted clear as day how dumbed down and ridiculous the show has become.

I thought the marking was generally alright aside from Craig's ridiculous 8 for Simon and Caroline being hugely over-marked.

Quite a lot of dry ice being used in normal shows too...

Do think that they do seem to over-using props in some routines, which takes away from the dancing.

That said, it was still a fantastic show from Blackpool, proper Saturday night entertainment.

Really liking Zoe as well, she's really settled in and so natural, and seems wrong to say but not really missing Claudia

Staging was bad and or intrusive in Pixie's, Steve's and a couple of others.

But after the lacklustre horrors of Halloween, it was a very good show and I enjoyed it very much. It gave a glimpse of the old magic.
