If he can make it to the final, I suspect he has a very strong chance, even more so if it vs two ladies.

I would be very shocked. It's not the fact that some of the others left are much better dancers, that didn't stop Chris Hollins winning. There is no way he will overtake Jake in the popularity stakes, I don't think he would ever beat two of the girls if he was in a final with them. Yes, Pixie probably won't win because of the too good accusations that seem to be directed at her more than Frankie and Caroline, but there is no way he could beat more than one of them. I highly doubt it.

He is middle tier when it comes to dancing ability, isn't likeable enough to do a Chris Hollins and I would hope most of the viewers aren't gullible enough to fall for his faux humble persona or his "journey".

This will probably bite me in the bum knowing my luck

If he did win, the show would need to be extended for a week so he could do a winners speech

Oh God I hope he doesn't win. I would very much like him to just go back to a very quiet life in Essex and never appear on TV or radio again. He gets on my wick!

It would also be on in the eye to the odious Jordan's if Karen were to becoming a winning pro”

I don't think Mark will win.

A few weeks ago Rufus Hound was on It Takes Two and he said that he finds it difficult to separate 'Radio and TV presenter' Mark Wright from 'TOWIE' Mark, which is something I think that a lot of people (myself included) have difficulty doing. The problem with Mark Wright is that he comes across as being vain, vapid, self-obsessed, ego maniacal and self absorbed. The fact that he's a tabloid regular and is always posting 'look at me' tweets and pictures on Twitter which are reported in the press won't endear him to the traditional Strictly viewer in the end, I think.

Plus, the emotional outbursts haven't helped either. I think people prefer Judy's getting on with it attitude.

I do hope so....Sorry but I can't take to Simon he appears so false....and why has he started to talk about his Mum all the time?...hoping to get more votes!!

I do not want to utter the J-word, but it helps with the viewers. Jake peaked too soon and can't get the momentum back. And the two Miss Perfects make an impression of ice queens to me.

No, he isn't good enough although he has improved significantly over the last few weeks even though he was overmarked last night. He is also a marmite character and at least as many people can't stand him as love him.

I can't even see him reaching the finals let alone winning.

I flippin well hope not he and his dance partner are well suited both very fake an I think the GBP will see through them and out them ASAP.

Thank you. Saves me typing it

I think (nay, hope) MDF turns out to be this year's DVO in that no matter how good he gets enough people don't warm to him to stop him wining (sic)

Can you just imagine the antics of him and Karen if they won

I hope not! He is probably the only one who I would really not like to see win.

The only contestant who may reach the final 4 that I would vote like mad for everyone else.

My sentiments exactly. Can't stand him - and Karen too is really getting on my nerves!

I agree. I can't bear him and although his dancing was good last night, his desperation oozes out of every pore imo. He's just another famous for nothing chancer who has nothing to offer and just screams 'look at me, love me'

BIB: I think you're overestimating the number of people who watch both TOWIE and Strictly - the overwhelming impression I've got from the forum this series is that most people (myself included) didn't have a clue who Mark was before Strictly.

And although I don't think he'll win or even make the final, I think some on here are underestimating his popularity - yes, he's been in the bottom 2 once, but so has Caroline, whose popularity is seemingly never questioned. And I think it's a generalisation to say that people prefer Judy's attitude - I think Mark's getting on with it just as much as she is, don't give a damn about people being emotional (in fact I find it endearing as it shows they care!) and although I like Judy's honest attitude and think she's great in interviews, it does annoy me that she appears to be making more out of knowing she can't dance (and begging Anton for lifts) than actually trying to get the steps right. Each to their own though.

BIB: that's irrelevant really, as everyone keeps telling us all on here, it's not just a 'dance' competition, so ability frankly (and sadly) has no real bearing on who wins - if it did, Ricky would have beaten Chris, Rachel would have beaten Tom etc.

Do you know either of them personally? I doubt it, so I don't think you're in any position to make such a horrible personal attack on them, and I think it's particularly rude that you didn't even bother using Karen's name! I really do think this forum is unnecessarily unpleasant sometimes, and that post is a prime example!

He isn't good enough but that doesn't mean much on the show sometimes. But I don't think he is likeable enough to do a Chris Hollins and beat the better dancers.

No, I don't think he will win. Putting my personal feelings about Mark aside, I feel after last night's dance he hasn't improved as much as people say.

I think there are more popular people that will make the final.

I think he may win. However he needs to step it up. This week was okay but others were better.

This is what bugs me. He's far too aware of Mark Wright the brand. His dancing has certainly improved a lot but he gets on my nerves far too much for me to ever vote for him.

Apart from the fact that he's a stage school kid you mean?

Oh don't start that again, it's been discussed to death already! Most of the people who've ever been good dancers on Strictly, including several winners, have been stage school kids or had some kind of music or drama background, it's nothing new.
