I have never watched IACGMOUH or TOWIE, so I had only vaguely heard of Mark.
For me, he has been a delight to watch week by week, I love his enthusiasm, and the genuine joy he is getting from the whole experience.
He seems to be gradually getting support from some Forum members, and he certainly gets my votes every week.
I would love to see him lift the glitter ball.
Mark is easily the most improved of all the dancers. As far as personal achievement is concerned, he is the winner.

I agree. I've come to love Mark, he seems a really nice, sensitive guy and he's worked so hard. So I'd be very happy if he wins.

Only Mark fans are making that comparison. He is nowhere near as good a dancer as she was. She was an excellent dancer. He is good, but still one of the weaker dancers left. He has a lot of female fans though, that may help him.

I think more non-fans are making the comparison in terms of having found Abbey annoying last year, that comparison has nothing to do with dance ability!

I'm sorry, but your post comes across as bearing quite a grudge against Karen - bringing up an incident from a while ago for which an apology was made and accepted, and which was in all likelihood blown hugely out of proportion by the gutter press.
And god forbid the woman doesn't have a smile plastered to her face all the time - if I were to post photos of all the grimaces and bored faces I've seen on every single one of the pros and celebrities in the background on a Saturday night I'd probably be here for a year!
It's also funny that Ola fans are quick to dismiss the stories about her and Steve but hold that particular story against Karen. I like Ola and Karen by the way. That story was blown way out of proportion, silly to hold that against her.
Yes. His improvement is off the scale and He and Karen seem to have a Very productive relationship..he is very likeable too. I think he is overtaking Jake who is really better in the Latin than Ballroom...Simon and Mark have now become good at both.

I'd never heard of Mark before the competition as I've never watched TOWIE or IACGMOOH. At first I wasn't too keen on his crying but I've been gradually warming to him over recent weeks and I loved his Charleston this week and his enthusiasm at getting the 9s!. He really has improved so much in his dancing and that is what I look for in a winner of the competition. I voted for him for the first time last week and will continue to do so.

I don't bear a grudge against Karen, I just don't think she's anywhere near as good a dancer and choreographer as she seems to think she she is - and the incident last year shows that's she isn't the happy nicely smiley person she would have us believe.
Unlike this year's "bully gate" - where no one has been seen to publicly apologise, it seems that there was some truth in last year's story as Karen did have to apologise to Ola, and it was telling that in his interview with the mirror last week, Mark made a big point of saying that Karen wasn't a bully and choreographed to his strengths, picking up on points made in the Ola Steve story, and adding fuel to a fire which was dying down. Also interesting that in their ITT appearance just after Mark's interview, Steve re- emphasised how Ola always choreographs to his strengths, which was as close as he seems to be allowed to say the story was B/S
That said - since his appearance in the dance off, Mark seems to have woken up and started working hard, and since the jive week, has really appeared as a contender - in fact, if anything he was far far better at the Charleston than Karen was - his swivels were fantastic!
Oh - and whilst I did see him in I'm a Celebrity, I had no idea who Mark was as I have never seen an episode of TOWIE.

Ola is as much of a diva as Kristina. She's like a spoilt little child, always demanding attention. I can imagine that Ola went out of her way to make Karen look like the 'bad guy'. She's so arrogant too. That's why she and James make the perfect couple
I am loving the way that the tide is gradually turning in Mark's favour with so many Forum members.
Maybe it is because they see what I have seen from the beginning, a young guy who is loving every moment of his experience, is totally dedicated, has a great relationship with Karen, and is improving every week, which surely is what the show is all about. I have a feeling that hisTango could be really spectacular this week.
Unfortunately I won't be home until around midnight on Saturday, so Mark will lose my six votes. If anyone who plans on voting for him could maybe give him an extra vote for me, I will be very grateful!

Not my choice of winner, but would not surprise me one bit if he were at least in the final. The ingredients from a voter perspective based on a couple of past winners who were not the best dancer, appear to be there.
Not convinced he's got the fan votes to win, a bit like Simon and Caroline. I COULD see them winning based on talent but I don't think they've got the support from home.

I didn't vote for him last week when maybe I should have done, so will throw a vote or two his way this week for you Walter, if he is as good as last week I'll give him the lot. I don't have any favourites so will vote for who entertains me the most.
I have begun to think so this week. He is on the up and up whereas the excellence all around is pretty much plateauing. Simon coming up but I genuinely don't believe he has the likeability factor enough to win. Jake could still do it but will really have to up his game.
