I'll throw in a few phone votes for you Walter I think their Tango will be his best ballroom yet. I'm still not convinced he can win the whole thing (although I really hope he does) but I'm finding it difficult to call this year. I haven't got an elimination right yet!

The only thing that Mark has in common with a Jane Austen male character is a tendency to wear his trousers slightly tighter than is wise.
Oh, and a weakness for a well shaped ankle

I have to disagree, mimi. Mr Wickham ingratiates himself with his open countenance and telling people what they want to hear. He does indeed have 'all the appearance of goodness' and it's only later that people realise he's far from being the man they thought he was.

Oh, and he can re-invent his past to suit his present purpose.

That is great, thanks very much !

I am confident that he will do well this week, it is just that the last time I was unable to vote he was in the dance off, and I was convinced it was because he didn't get my six votes.

Sad, I know!

Mr Wickham is a bounder in sheep's clothing. Though I don't remember onions featuring in the Austen novel ...

.....and maybe (selectively) conceal his past.....

Far worse, she ended up all sound and fury, Mark has 3 essex Nans there is power in numbers and fire in a huddle of Essex Nans if the y feel someone is doing their boy down. Another appearance in the bottom to cold see the release of the nan power.

I'm so surprised by how much I've taken to him, because I thought I'd really dislike him and presumed he'd be an early casualty.

It would also be on in the eye to the odious Jordan's if Karen were to becoming a winning pro”

Anything is possible

I hate to be overdramatic, but if Mark wins I will despair of my species

There IS something rather simian about Mark's grin, now you come to mention it.

And me

Faked crying, fake anxiety, forgetting to mention dance training in the past, playing to the audience, working it every time the camera hoves in sight ... etc. etc.

This is one skilled operator.

Not so skilled that it is not obvious.

He is ALMOST seamless but he hasn't mastered the art of being believable yet. So close though, to a casual viewer only popping in every now and again they will probably not see the repeated patterns that give him away.

I already despair that "being famous" rather than "being talented" is such a common ambition.
Ask a number of "celebrities" what they have achieved, beyond being on television....
Nowt.

We should celebrate scientists, artists, athletes, humanitarians.
Number of mentions in tabloid press should not be a mark of achievement.

Loved the tatooed scientist being so emotional about Philae last week, he could be a celeb any time over the Mark Wrights of this world.

No pun intended as MDF epitomises everything you have said.

TOWIE, Geordie Shore, Made in Fulham, etc etc and the gargabe that now has it's own channel on ITV Bee. Maybe the B is short for bollocks? WTF, seriously....WTF?

I don't watch any of the programmes he's on, and didn't know anything about him, other than he was Michelle Keegan's boyfriend. I don't vote for him and I hope he won't win. Having said that he did an excellent Charleston on Saturday - even Craig couldn't fault it, and what I like about him is that he smiles through the romantic dances, not staring straight into the distance with a poker face like some of the others. Compared to bulky hulky Steve and his very samey dances, ( although that's due to Ola's tired choreography in part ) Mark's more enjoyable to watch by a long chalk.

I agree, I just judge on the performance, nothing else.

Well said!!Only the other week Bruno was spouting about Mark having no dance background.
Can't stand Mark "I'm a celebrity, keep me in here",( as my daughter says).
