Yes, can't stand him but I think he's probably a better presenter than singer. As a performer, I dislike everything about him.
I honestly will never get the praise his audition got. I thought he was one of the joke acts where Simon goes 'what the bloody hell was that?' When they liked him, my jaw hit the floor

Indeed. If we all thought the same, there would be no point in the show

He's not a bad singer - unlike some of the monstrosities out there. But he's nothing amazing vocally either, he has a lot of charm though which gives him mass appeal. Like Robbie Williams.

Ben performed well at Hallowe'en but he does need to push it up a notch I agree, he's coasting a bit at the moment.

I find him boring; he sounds like he needs to sit on the loo for several hours.

I agree with you but I don't think Ben was great tonight at all, quite flat in fact!

I didn't think it was his strongest vocal, although I still think it was better than most. Tbh it wasn't a dazzling big band week for me. The good singers were a bit dull and the performers weren't vocally as solid as they needed . . . which is why Only The Young are getting so much more praise than normal, they had a better balance.

Ben seems like a nice guy, and I want him in the final, but I thought he was really flat in places tonight, his worst performance yet.

Steve was a much better singer than him.

He isn't quite that dull haha!

I really don't see the appeal though... His voice majorly grates on me, he isn't even that hot imo (he's not bad but nothing special) Tbh if he looked like Stevi, he'd have been gone by now! Certainly, if he was a young female with a gravelly voice he wouldn't be among the favourites to win. He reminds me more of Matt Cardle, though I liked him and Matt had a different, more appealing to me voice. Both are safe males who are good looking in an ordinary way, and I can't see Ben being much more successful than about Matt's level (if that).

Matt was more versatile too, Ben strays from rock and it's awful imo. He's average at best when doing rock though to be honest.
