Doesn't look like your average 77 year old, where were the jowls, eye bags,wrinkles, Turkey neck etc?
When people say doesn't someone look good for his/ her age, the cosmetic surgeon doesn't get the credit.
Instead the answer is"I've got good genes" or "I take after my mother, " not "I've got piles of money and a wonderful surgeon who ensures I will look forever young"

Why does someone always have to be unkind ? She was fabulous, and the fact that she's being constantly referred to as Dame Shirley on this thread, shows the respect people have for her. She is completely marvellous for her age - well just completely marvellous!

Looked a bit more than Botox to me...but good luck to her. There is such a demand for people to not look their age, unfortunately, especially in show business.
I must admit I turned down the volume because her first notes were not very good and I did not want to hear her sing badly, I should have listened a bit more.
Not that I was ever really a fan, except when she did that sketch with Morecombe and Wise, with the large boot. I was surprised how happy she was to have the micky taken out of her...she was great in that show...

Dame Shirley was marvellous and absolutely fabulous yorkshirelass you are quite right, it is a fact beyond dispute.
I just assumed she has had surgery. Didn't think any more about it. Let's face it, perfectly normal in showbiz.

I didn't think she was that good and yes, she did look a bit strange. It doesn't make her sing any better looking 10 years younger than her chronological age.
