Now this is no hating thread because Lauren is my favourite and if Im honest I have a secret crush on her.

However I just feel the popularity has been dwindling. There are probably people who really liked her and maybe their favourite a few weeks back but are now not fans.

I don't think its Lauren's fault. She sings the songs well enough bar let it go but rather Cheryl's fault. She's being too predictable. Maybe she doesn't trust Lauren after dark horse but I think if Lauren is pushed more she would start moving about more. Is cheryl really pushing her to succeed. I don't think so. Lauren seems the type who just needs that extra little push.

I think she's safe this weekend but next weekend if it's the same thing then it could be curtains.

I hope whatever happens she gets a contract as she's an artist I want to hear in the future.

While I don't believe she in danger...anyone can go in my opinion...

For now, she's fine I think...but in the next few weeks...she's gotta do better when all that is left is Andrea, Ben, Fleur and prehaps someone else...part of me wants to believe Cheryl knows how the voting is going and has decided to play it safe for now...but I'm not sure...Im feeling a shock this week...but its not who you might think...

OP - exactly my thoughts. I love her but I just keep thinking, if Ella and Tamera for example struggled, Lauren has no chance... I do think she has a chance to finish above SK, Jay, Stevi and maybe OTY but she's going to be 4th at absolute best. I'm almost certain she'll be bottom 2 this week or next too I'm very pessimistic about my favourites though so fingers crossed I'm wrong...

My money is on Andrea and I have to say I saw Lauren as a big threat, as the weeks have gone by she's faded badly in my opinion and I'd be surprised if she even made the top 4 now.

There is of course Simons games/manipulation to factor in which makes it difficult to say or gauge anything for sure, we saw his games/manipulation in action only last week!

In effect anything can happen! However, and not taking Simons games into account, based on the past few weeks, she'll do well to make the top 4 in my opinion.

She is very overrated and dull.

To be fair to Cheryl I actually don't like her very much, but if she really does mentor Lauren then she's mentored her the best that she can in these last two weeks because these themes are very old skewing and Lauren's a modern singer.

And she's gonna struggle now anyway because I've noticed that older women don't like Lauren, the older men prefer Fleur, then the ones that like the quirky acts are going to OTY, and then people that seem to think that it's a dancing show won't like Lauren either.

Plus Lauren having the worst time slots out of the remaining acts should see her in the bottom two tomorrow, I'll be very impressed if she goes through by the public vote alone.

I think she'll be bottom week 7/8. Don't think she'll go though.

She's got 'shock exit' written all over her.

Average singer needs to go and she needs to go.

I can't deal with all these fake hype & buzz around her voice. It's really average at best !!!

an average voice would still put her in the top three in this series

Because this serie lacks of female vocalists, she can't hold no candle against past female solo artists in previous series .. Tamera, Hannah, Ella, Amelia, Misha B, Cher Lloyd, Rebecca are 10000 x better and those are X Factor Girls category standard.

and where did I say she does ?

I wouldn't include tamera or Hannah in any list of female vocalists however ...

Lauren has a nice voice but as someone has already pointed out, this is not the year for a strong female vocalist. Could be because they got one last year.

The last couple of weeks shows there is not a concentration on Lauren with poor song choices and staging and producers have someone else in mind to be in the Final.

They have a couple of strong male vocalists, are desperate for SK to get somewhere, are pushing OTY now and Fleur is being forced down the throat of viewers.

I'd be very surprised if she didnt outlast Stevi/Jay/SK/ Then she could be in trouble but who knows. I think she is heading for final personally i think people will get sick of the way there trying to force fluer down our throats & she'll be the shock exit

Her looks may save her, she is very pretty. But vocally, she will be in the bottom 2 with Jay.

It's so obvious they are 'de-ramping' her - Sofabet terminology for dampening her appeal.

Last night - slow dull song and staging having her sit on a swing the whole time. On XtraFactor Lauren mentioned that she agreed with Simon and thought she was in danger of sending people to sleep. I think Lauren is very aware of what's going on but knows she's powerless to do or say anything - QED Paul's treatment.

I think TPTB ( i.e. Scowell ) want a Andrea, Ben, OTY & Fleur Final. They got rid of Paul as he was a threat to Ben & Andrea in terms of demo appeal and now they are slowly taking down Lauren.

Stevie and JJ shoud go before her, but she wont make the Final if they keep up with all the manipulations of recent weeks.

Poor Lauren always looks so nervous when she is singing. She just needs to have a lot more experience, and maybe come back in a couple of years time if the show is still going.

Lacklustre boring performance from Lauren tonight..boring,boring boring.
I can't believe she would have chosen this bland song.

Fair play to Simon.... .he was right about Andrea being nothing but a brilliant voice ( terrible look, style and stage presence and he was right about Lauren being boring.

The acts are being consistently let down by uninspired song choices.

Poor song choices for the contestants have always been one of the shows big problems for some reason.

There isn't anything fair about what Scowell had to say, re Andrea and Lauren, and/or how he does it. It was blatant tactics.

1 "Nothing but a briliant voice" - is there something wrong with that?

2 "Terrible look, style and stage presence" - why is he highlighting the importance - oh yes now Fleur has all of this but no voice.

3 Lauren boring - what was boring (repetitive) was Lauren being given a "balnd" song, staging from the same judge who gave it to Diana Vickers just a few years ago. It is no accident that Lauren is being shown as having parallels with DV at this stage. Remember how she went? Lauren down at the bookies now. Are we surprised?

Reading your post and others - sadly his unfair manipulation worked.

I think Lauren showed so much potential at the audition and JH. First week of lives, her Happy was great and I thought she was top 3 definitely but, since then, she's faded. The song choices have been poor and they seem to have turned her from being a cool, streetwise, edgy Essex girl with a bit of attitude and swagger into a Disney princess who seems younger than her years and appeals to kids.

She needs to stand up for who she is before they ruin her completely by turning her into something that she isn't
