Louis' cop out - blaming Paul
Pheney
15-11-2014
Did anyone else notice this??

'Aww we've lost so many good acts like Paul and we've still got you here Stevie'

What a cheap cop-out from Louis!

YOU sent the fella out of the competition... the same as you did last year you Judas!

And now you are trying to cover youself, ha ha ha,

I'm a Fleur Fan... but even I have the savvy to know that Paul would have beaten her.... and rightly so! He was the most amazing voice to have ever come out of X-Factor!!

Surely the Judas' are fans who didn't vote Paul - hence why he ended up BOTTOM of the public vote.

How is it a cop-out?

Both decisions are down to the public.

My point is that...Louis used a piggy-back situation to a get a point across.

This is nothing against any act... this is just an observation..

But if you don't see it.... you don't see it.

It's a cop out because the sing-off exists to save the better singers from apathetic viewers who realise that there are great singers on the show, but can't be bothered voting for them.

This series however, they may as well do away with this system altogether for the amount of times the judges do their job without bowing down to the producers/Simon.

Paul had a great voice.

Should of gone on The Voice - he would of won.

Erm, this isn't a singing contest. It's an entertainment show. And as an entertainment show, the producers will do what they want to ensure it entertains. The system is in place to aid them, not to make it "fair" for the contestants or to aid the public in any way. It's just a way for the producers to make sure they get the result they want.

The situation last week happened because first and foremost the public didn't vote, and also because Paul wasn't entertaining enough to save. But had the public voted, Paul wouldn't have been in that position.

Erm yes, but I refer you back to my post, as it actually addressed the point raised.

No, it didn't. Your point is that "the sing off is meant to save good singers who the public didn't vote for" and my point is that it has nothing to do with the public, and everything to do with the producers. You're claiming they should do away with it, but why would they do away with something that is in place for their benefit?

Reading and comprehension are good skills to hone when debating with someone.

That's a bit rich saying your comprehension of music seems very shallow.

You're naive. This is a TV show.

Most acts who win The X Factor don't make it big, and are forgotten. The biggest talking points every year are the joke acts and their controversy. What credibility does it have as a platform for finding real musicians?

I can't believe there are people out there that still think this is a singing competition.

I'm sorry, who are you? Why are you talking like you have some personal insight into my comprehension of music?

Oh, you seem to be another individual who wants to blame Louis for Paul leaving and not the people who deserve the blame - the public. I see your stake in this discussion now. Regardless, you don't know me, so don't pretend like you know anything about me, thanks.

A person who talks sense and employs rationality, unlike you.

Any more questions, or are you done filling this thread with irrelevant nonsense?

No you are a stereotypical xfactor stooge , who can't see through how the judges manipulate the show to suit their own favourites. Don't try to be clever and intelligent when it is very apparent that you aren't

How very insightful.

Yes, it's all about the judges and their personal stake in the show which is obviously so large; nothing to do with ratings or headlines or making money, or things that actually matter.

It's hilarious that you can't see yourself for what you are - pretty much everything you accused me of being.

The lengths people go to to justify their favourite acts leaving being a conspiracy is shocking.

Your comments are laughable, it happens every year and not always to my favourite acts, you really are so naive that you are boring me now. I will leave you to your own delusional views.
