Anyone else think Zoe should be recruited for the weekend show, either replacing Tess or Claud? I think she's such a natural presenter, lots of sharp wit, quirks and doesn't mind acting the maggot for laughs. I love her on ITT and always felt she'd be great on the saturday show.

I would love it to be claudia and zoe. Zoe doing the judges bit! But have no idea how they could sack tess she has done it from the start! It might be a bit awkward I don't know I mean brucie stepped down because he was getting to old but with this they will just be like "so zoe was so good that she has replaced tess". I don't know if zoe would find that awkward?!
I wouldn't be so nasty to Claudia while she has a sick child.

I would never have picked Tess in the first place. But she was given the job so that's that.
I like Claudia and in any case you can't fire someone when they are absent caring for a sick child.

I enjoy the different ways both do it. Perhaps they could job-share ITT and the Clauditorium duties... Rotate it...
Zoe to host the show and Claudia in the clauditorium. Tess seems to be a nice person but is lost without autocue and seems robotic, she also appears lost if she has to wing it. Last night on children in need she was mixing up her words and giggling all over the place it was embarrassing to watch.

I don't think the OP was suggesting that Claudia be fired during this series. I think it was more a suggestion for the future.
Personally I prefer Zoe. She's doing a great job holding the fort for Claudia.
Zoe wouldn't be as good hosting, she is quirky and blends well with the contestants and that's lost as the main host.
She is doing an amazing job and I agree I prefer her there more then Claudia and wish for her to stay on. I think if it were another time it may happen, but as Claudia is away as he child has serious injuries, it's poor timing.

Iveta had a slot on ITT last week. She is superb.

It is rather distasteful to take advantage of the absence.
All three have strengths and weaknesses, I have no problem with Tess Daly in her present role.

She did one of the recorded reports, like all the other dancers. That is quite different from hosting a live programme.
I'm with Pet Monkey, my ideal scenario would be Claudia and Zoe on the main show and rotating ITT duties.
I'm a big fan of Claudia but I think Zoe seems a lot more natural when she's doing the post dance interviews and it's purely because she's had more opportunity to build up a rapport with the celebrities and pros on ITT.

I don't know if it makes a difference to anybody's enjoyment but why is ITT live?
Everybody on the show should be a credible dancer.

I think Zoe is brilliant appearing on the main show but it's Claudia's job.
I don't think they're going to make any change in the middle of a series TBH.
Zoe to take over as lead and Tess to go. This is not the right gig for you, Tess, but the BBC will never have the guts to move you, so don't worry.

Obviously there are only a few of us who consider whether it's distasteful or not to air opinions when one of the people being discussed has a problem.
Whatever people think, they will have no influence on what happens anyway as it's the producers who make the decisions on what they think will make a good show based on their own research and do not even consider the opinions of a few people on an internet forum. The only effect these comments might have is to upset Claudia further at a difficult time for her.
I'm very happy with Tess presenting - she's doing what the job requires - and with Claudia's wit with the dancers on the balcony. Zoe's doing a good job as an emergency replacement at an unfortunate time. And that is just my opinion and will have no effect on the show whatsoever or what others think.
