Cant wait to see how Kristina and Simon are getting on tonight on Ian's warm up and ITT.

Not too excited about their song but given some of the awful song choices that some couples had so far this year, it could have been worse

For Robin fans he is back dancing in the pro routine this weekend.

Overall, song choices not too bad this week. To quote others, not sure about the Macarena though...bit slow and ploddy. Complete opposite to what poor Sunetra had thrust upon her last week. Strict tempo please Producers.
Although Kevin/Frankie can dance a VW to " Whats new Pussycat", again I would refer something more lilting but hopefully the arrangement will be good, and no heavy beat.

Half joking and half serious

But yeah, they need to speed up 'Macarena' a bit for it to really work. BUT we all know that we'll be doing the actual Macarena whilst it's playing won't we? Or is that just me

I think Simon and Pixie will be top again this week.

what we saw of Simon and Kristina looked good but music and rest of routine will be key not keen on their music will be interesting to see - not sure of Pixies routine whilst it looked good seems a bit stagey to me though doubtless it will be highest marked but will be interesting to see what judges make of it

I have literally never been so excited at the prospect of a dance on SCD.

He would literally have to fall on his bum not to get my vote on Saturday, haha.

When did I turn into such a massively cheesey person?!

On the serious side it's quite slow so should hopefully give him time to get a lovely samba action going.

I'm middle-aged so I had to google some of the music choices.

Mark, Pixie and Sunetra all have weak, wishy-washy music. Underwhelmed. I love Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend but not the messed with version.

Mack the Knife is great but, please, it's Bobby Darin or Louis Armstrong, not Robbie feckin' Williams.

I love Little Bitty Pretty One but worry it's not dynamic enough for a good jive. I've noticed on Strictly the better jives have the quickest beats.

I wouldn't have thought of What's New, Pussycat? for a VW but it could work in a Peter Sellers dancing with Capucine in a 1960s Mad Men kind of way.

I think Jake and Janette will suit The Macarena but I worry it's going to be the same old British bloke on the Costa Blanca schtick again. He seems to be swinging between moody and blokey and, while it works, I would like to see his repertoire pushed.

I like Let's Hear It for the Boy but it was underwhelming when Scott and Natalie danced to it and fear it could be again.

It will be great to see him back in action, I've missed him this series

Pixie's dance looks very hard. Looks good so far, though some timing issues that will hopefully be sorted by Saturday. Simon looks very good too.

Frankie looks very good and she's always better on the night then in training. I am worried about her because the competition is very tough she does always surprise me though.

If pixie gets that charleston right it's going to absolutely steal the show but it's so fast that it could very very easily go wrong, will be interesting to see what happens on the night

Yes I am excited but scared for it It could easily go wrong as you say, because it is very hard. Fingers crossed it goes right!

Even if it doesn't go right, I'd still give a good score for it as it is unbelievably tricky routine.

Poor Steve doesn't look great at the moment, physically it is a tough routine for him due to his ankles. I think he may be in trouble this week.
