Last night there was a nasty confrontation between Jay and Steve that was started by Jay about Steve making the Bedroom Smelly and he repeated it two or three times with Steve sitting next to him and Steve appeared upset. I dislike them both but Jay appeared nasty for the sake of it.

Whilst I don't believe this is true or is at least exaggerated, the leaks suggest he is hated by producers and contestants. If that was true why would they blow an opportunity to get rid of him last week and why would they even want him on tour? Makes no sense lol. I just smell a hatchet job on Jay here

And, all joking apart, that may be why he comes across as harder than a lot of the others. He's used to discipline and no nonsense and the others may mistake his tough attitude for being intimidating.
I definitely get the feeling that Jay and Stevi don't get on at all but people not liking someone doesn't automatically equal bully (or BULLY as the Star puts it)
It's the timing that is bothering me - sounds to me like a ploy to get Stevi sympathy votes (I don't know why people think that voting Stevi is a way of hurting Cowell I really don't)

You could be right seeing as the odds are pretty neck and neck between Jay and Stevi to go. It's almost a given that one Cowell act will leave tonight and Jay appears to be the sacrificial lamb.

Well you have to consider that there's a lot of money involved for the contestants who make it on tour so a lot of manipulation goes on by Simon to accommodate certain people.
Now having made it to the tour, I expect most of the acts left are disposable to suit Simons agenda! We'll get a whole new set of games/manipulations from Simon

Exactly! I am sure he is a lovely guy but losing other acts, that are real singers and serious about a career in music, even if they aren't my favourite is what annoys me about these joke acts. It helps Cowell and not hinders him to keep Stevi in for the publicity. Even STevi winning would not bother him in the slightest as it is all publicity. The only publicity he wouldn't want is people switching off in their droves. I would love to see his face then!

BY now, it makes no difference who wins as Cowell already knows who he is going to sign and pimp up. Apart from the number 1 single (which probably won't happen this year due to Band Aid), winning means very little when it comes to who gets promoted and who gets quietly binned

Like I said earlier, even 'leaks' are controlled so the timing does not make sense other than Jay being thrown under the bus and STevi getting sympathy votes to keep him in longer.
Also, I'm wondering if the Sun has made a story out of the Xtra Factor clips that show Jay (jokingly) telling the other contestants off as a navy instructor (his old job). Jay comes across as a completely likeable person, and doesn't strike me as unpopular at all.
