How do people know Karen isn't liked? Is there some petition going around that I don't know about. She's in the main had poor to average dancers (Mark himself one of the average to ok ones depending on the dance), so her progression in the competition over the year's isn't solely going to be down to her.

Or is this idea of her being disliked just based on DS opinion, which isn't always going to be reflective of the larger whatever million that watch the show. As for the Ola thing last year, we still have no idea if that's even entirely true yet or what degrees of truth there were in the story.

The things that gets me is that these people were all too quick to belive that Karen bullied Ola, but now the boot is on the other foot and Ola has been accused of doing the same thing their fans are in uproar.

I dont pretend to know exactly what happened, I believe it's entirely possible that Karen and Ola may have words, but to call it "bullying" is ridiculous. Likewise I believe Ola and Steve may have had a disagreement in training that's been blown out of all proportion by the media, but no actual bullying took place. Bullying is usually sustained over a longer period of time, I personally wouldn't call a minor disagreement or the odd bitchy remark bullying.

I know that James thinks Ola is being forced out. Really he needs to look at his own behaviour in that case, because he has behaved in such an unprofessional way over the past few weeks. I can't see Ola coming back next year now, although had James kept his trap shut maybe thinks would be different.
I'll just agree with all of that.

I wonder whether James is somehow subliminally (because of course, they need the money, he loves Ola, etc etc) wanting Ola to be out so that he isn't sitting ranting alone on Saturday nights. In which case this behaviour makes complete sense.

I'm not too fond of the "new "pros ladies : Karen, Jeanette and Joanna. They could all leave next year as far as I'm concerned but unfortunately I don't see happening .

The Jordans are not really popular here BUT a lot more popular outside of DS.

I don't like Karen mainly because I don't like her dancing. She is not graceful and as someone mentioned she makes some odd shapes with her legs which I don't like. I also don't like her exuberant nature. I do like Mark, so I'm tolerating her this year.

She has rather unconventional looks which I'm sure doesn't help in a world of frilly sparkly femininity.
Do you mean fashion wise?

I think she is utterly gorgeous! Haven't seen that many pictures of her outside strictly but remember first noticing her during the AT she did with Nicky and thinking she was stunning.

I agree. It's one thing to be pretty and blonde but Karen is a striking woman. She has strong features. She looks like Dorothea surrounded by a whole suite of Rosamunds

I didn't like Karen for the first couple of series, but have really warmed to her in this one. Her choreography seems to have gone up a notch and she has mellowed.

As for Joanne and Kevin, I haven't made my mind up on Joanne as she wasn't able to show her full potential with her celeb this year. I really liked Kevin last year, but there's something about him this year which has made me change my mind completely.

i don't have strong feelings about karen either way, though i thought she looked fab last night and the charleston was a good routine for them both.

she's disliked by some on here and there was a parade of the predictable mean old nags through the thread. some of its to do with being associated with kevin who - in case you haven't realised is the embodiment of the vilest evil thing that ever did darken your strictly door step.

i am starting to see an unpleasant quality to some of the comments made about her, like she's some sort of yanomamo squaw to be mocked for a lack of finesse.

I've never liked the Jordan's, well actually I've never liked James. He's always seemed boorish, narcissistic and arrogant to me. Ola I've always been a bit on the fence about, she's very vanilla. A bit meh really.

Totally agree, James has come across really badly and has done his wife no favours. He needs to remember that SCD brought the Jordan's prominence and has widened their careers. Many pro dancers have left with dignity and not bleated as much as Mr Jordan.

I'm not really keen on her dancing and choreography, and being partnered with Mark Wright is a bit toxic, but, strangely, I feel that if I were to know the pros in real life Karen is the one I would get on with the most.

It does feel like the producers have decided we are delighted with the whole 'from Grimsby' thing and are showcasing certain dancers more than others.

With the rider that I like James and very much enjoy his normal twitter comments on the show (when he isn't attacking the BBC for bringing on the apocalypse). People who don't like him might be surprised how fair and generous he is in his critique, as well as realistic about all the dances!

It is classic controlling, macho husband behaviour; constantly paying lip-service to how much you love, adore and support your wife, while your actual actions do everything they can to scupper her independence and any chance she may succeed more than you and change the power dynamics of your relationship.

For those who are dismissing last year's spat between Karen and Ola, what ever happened last year it was bad enough for the BBC to make an announcement

A BBC spokesman added: ‘Regrettably there was an argument between professional dancers Karen Hauer and Ola Jordan on Monday, but the matter has been resolved and apologies accepted by all parties.

‘Karen has apologised to Ola for the incident, agreed to put it behind them and they continue to work together in the group dances.’

There was also a statement issued by a spokesman for Ola

‘On Monday 28th October, Karen Hauer verbally attacked Ola during group pro training. Ola did continue with her training as she couldn’t let her partner Ashley, or the show down. The BBC handled the matter and Karen has now apologised to Ola. Ola was deeply upset by the incident and has struggled emotionally this week.’

According to reports Pasha had to step in at the time to prevent Karen saying more.

I am a Jordan fan, but I don't have a problem with Karen and like her dancing with Kevin. I thought I'd just clear up a few points.

I don't care about the backstage stuff/personal life stuff and don't go out of my way to find out about it, I merely go by how they come across on ITT and the main show and.............................I find her annoying, sorry, I'm sure she's lovely though, just not for me.

Quite a few people expressed a concern for Ola's welfare during James time on CBB, I can't imagine he is easy to live with put it that way. I remember his comments about Lauren Goodger being drunk, saying how his wife "would never behave like that" and how it would be humiliating for him if she ever did. What James, you don't want your wife to have a few sherbets and have laugh every now and then?

I wonder what he made of the "snog" she had with Caroline Flack?

Anyone who thinks Karen isn't a good dancer should see these:

I think she deliberately underdances to make her celeb partner look good.

As for personality, I think she is funny and a nice person. I loved her on the pro challenges on ITT, and she gave Anya and Patrick a stunning review of their AS when the celebs picked their favourite dance. She and Kevin also have a YT channel where they teach the basic steps of various dances in their living room, which is really cute.
