We heard rumours of security lockdowns, diva-ish behaviour etc., with just about as many theories as there were possiblilties. Does anyone actually KNOW what happened?

Lisa Snowdon "danced" her Showdance for a last time in front of the Blackpool audience, causing everyone's eyes to melt.

(I don't know)

Recording of the results show was apparently running seriously behind because of a 'security' issue. Even the band were tweeting at one stage asking if anyone could direct them to a chippy in Blackpool that would still be open after 11.30 pm.

The results spoiler didn't come out until after 11.30, a full hour or so later than usual, so results show filming was clearly held up in some way as the audience left much later than usual!

my friend was there and she said that as far as she was aware, there weren't any issues ~

the show starting at 7 last night instead of the usual 6.30 would have made the obtaining of the results half an hour later, allow for 1000 audience members collecting phones, coats etc instead of the usual 400, the time the results were texted/posted seems about right to me

Mark started crying again and flooded the Dance Floor the Fire Brigade had to be brought in to pump it out.

An actual delay? Thinking about it, you have a later start, increased numbers to crowd control in a one off venue, larger numbers moving backstage and out front to organise, larger sets to get in and out for dancers and guests. Easy enough to lose another half hour and the audience get out an hour later than they did last week. Was it so much quicker previous years?

That's exactly what I thought but think it has been slightly earlier in previous years.

I was there on Saturday and there were definitely no issues. The delay might have been caused by the results show group dance having to be recorded a couple of times and also McBusted's set took quite a while to put together. It was all finished by about 11.15.

I was in bed at the time and had sneaky looks at the spoiler thread every few minutes, when I should have been asleep!

Although the spoiler came through an hour later than normal, I expected that being a late start and 2 music acts and loads more people to get out. But it was fun reading posts on the spoiler page. A great party

No. But maybe Len had a real rant and by the time they had built in a time delay for all his rude words the show over-ran by an hour or so?
