What I find strange about James on Twitter is that he still goes along with the illusion that the results show is live, as if Ola doesn't tell him the result as soon as she gets to her phone. On a Sunday evening he will often express a sense of surprise or say that he has just found out someone is leaving. I guess even James isn't mean enough to be a spoiler.

That is quite strange.

I was quite pleased when I heard he was going into the BB house, as obviously I love Strictly and quite liked James after his good partnerships with the likes of Denise Van Outen and Pamela Stephenson.

However, my opinion of him changed dramatically after just a couple of days of watching him in the house for the reasons that chachachavvy and Vodka_Drinka have already listed.

He just came across as a bitter, mean-spirited, egotistical c*ck ... with dead eyes.

He was an excellent HM, very watchable. My opinion - so no need to substantiate.

He was very opinionated - but, personally, I enjoy HM's who are themselves - rather than those who restrain their personality, in order to obtain votes.

The vitriol received against him & his family was indefensible.

Each to their own The OP must be long gone. This is really old news

My thoughts exactly unfortunately.

I thought he was the BEST one in that show, even though I loathed him all those years on Strictly!! He was as in-yer-face, feisty, and pompous as ever, BUT he was intelligent, witty, hilarious and blatantly Obvious. He absolutely MADE that show and his fearlessness was legendary--top heavyweight boxers, 3rd rate zonked-out washed-up Hollywood actors, and drunken self-obsessed Reality stars were all told home truths yet NOT unkindly. Jazza is of the 'Speak the Truth & Shame the Devil' bent and thusly admirable.
He's still a pompous git, but a lot of that's bravado, and he is Very Funny! He's turned up on the Guardian 'Strictly LiveBlog' site--getting stick from us fellow commenters--but his wit is a treat. He came an honourable 3rd in CBB as he kept that show going.

Yeah He is a pompous git sometimes, but I still like James for one reason... he will never be a sheep and go along with things just for fear of being unpopular. I liked him on SCD, I liked him on BB and I still like him...

My goodness, you must have been watching a different programme to me. He was very unkind and needlessly cutting to more than one housemate.
Strangely, I quite liked him when he was on Strictly and that was one of the reasons I tuned in to BB, but within a day or so my opinion changed rapidly.
Lastly, he really is a bad loser. If you can't say anything nice about the winner, at least be gracious in defeat..

But he wasn't fearless was he? If he was fearless he would have called Audley "a c*nt" to his face not waited until he left the room, but he didn't.

I don't see James as intelligent. He comes across to me as someone who constantly gobs off without giving a thought to what he's actually saying. An intelligent man would know when to keep his mouth shut. As for being witty? Nope - he might have thought he was witty, but in reality he came across as arrogant and unpleasant.
