Hi! I'm after a smart tv of size 47-50 inches, for watching tv/film/PS3. Not bothered about 3d. Very much appreciate any guidance!
I have shortlisted (use auto translate in Chrome if want!):

Sony KDL48W585B

Philips 47PFS7109

Panasonic TX48AS640E

Panasonic Viera TX-50ASX603 (this seems to have great reviews)

Panasonic Viera TX-50AS500Y

Any except the Philips - Sony and Panasonic are the best two makes, Philips is way down amongst the poorest.

Have just seen the Samsung UE48H6400 won the What Hifi top award for my price range. Am I wrong in thinking it'll be very similar to another in the series (also has very good reviews!!): Samsung UE48H6475
