Of course it was too good to be true and when I saw those backing dancers I knew it was a bad omen . No need for them/ far to distracting . Then we had the appalling lighting and back lighting and all those strobes to further distract the viewing and this constant cheering and clapping and the overhyped Tess in another appalling dress .
I guessed Len wasn't at all happy with all these distractions but had to pretend for the sake of the producer, no wonder he let slip with an expletive .
Great shame to ruin what should have been a wonderful experience if only that producer would relax and just let the dancing tell the story instead of a cacophony of hype, noise and distractions .

BUT what I didn't like was the overscoring !
I agree, it was overblown with the additional dancers, the props, the over-marking for a bunch of non-descript dances, none of which were particularly special. And if I hear the word 'Blackpool' one more time some I'll chuck something at the TV.
