Mine was "what a crappy name for a TV prog, might be interesting though". Then, after about 2 picoseconds of the first episode, I was irretrievably hooked!

I was a later viewer.

Mine was Katie Hopkin's coffin up high trial

The first series when Tony Blackburn was completely kept collecting logs for the fire, I think he was cracking up as it became a total obsession.

Haha, yes I remember that too, he kept the camp well supplied with firewood and also the live coverage later on when absolutely nothing seemed to happen.

I remember show 1, episode 1 and have watched nearly every episode ever since.

The first big memorable moment was when Rhona gave that 'Sometimes' speech and was commenting on each campmates weaknesses and she said something like the following (I can't remember the exact words) about Tony Blackburn "sometimes Tony is a bit slow and doesn't get things" and the look on Tony's face was priceless.

Same here, I wish they would bring that back it made the whole show more interesting , it was like eavesdropping on a conversation and you got to see how they were as opposed to an hour of edited bits.

Compared with later years, the trials were pretty tame. TPT avoided almost all the cockroaches she was supposed to be showered with. Didn't shut her up, though.
