Homechoice Special Offers?
dvs

Apart from the 3 months discounts on the Homechoice website, are there any other offers available? I thought I saw an offer recently for £13.75 per month but can't find any details now. I went to Ideal Home show who were offering exclusive discounts but these were the same at the website.

Wrong. You cannot get the Ideal Home Show Exclusive Discount on the web site. The one on the web site has a different name (and maybe the same price). You need to learn better to deal with marketing language; do you fall for every advert?

Excuse me? I haven't fallen for any marketing lanaguage, gimmick or trick. I didn't sign up to what the sales reps were calling an 'exclusive' Ideal Home show offer because it was identical to the current website offers in price, name and packaged content. That was the point of my post.

So unless the brochure which I took away from the show which describes the Entry Level packages (same as website), along with the exclusive list of prices (same as website) are misprinted, I am not wrong that the 'exclusive' Ideal Home Show discount is identical to the current website offers as I previously stated.

I am aware of marketing tricks which is why I do my research. There is no need to assume that everybody lacks the intelligence that you clearly think you have.

That's a little uncalled for Brush Master.

dvs - I can't comment on the IHE offer, but the £13.75 per month for three months expired at the end of Jan, and was replaced by a £19.99 for 3 months offer.

You take life too serious.

If you were not so serious about life but more serious about the best possible Homechoice deal, you would talk to them and ask rather than speculate here.

Personally, I find hunting for a few pounds more or less in the first 2,3, or 4 months makes no difference. If you're satisfied with the package in terms of content and price, you'll sign up for a minimum lease of 12 months. Hopefully you're happy with it and stay for years. Thus, £10 less for 3 months (on some fictious offer, just as an example), makes £30 savings. That's approximately one pint of beer per month for one year.

I doubt many people consider the beer purchase with the same care.

That's the whole point of such an offer: it is designed to look attractive without costing much for the provider. Seems common sense to me.
But maybe I fail to take life serious enough

When I responded to your comment, it was so because of your arrogance rather than me taking life so seriously. However Homechoice package their deals, whether it be first month free or 3 months discounted, it is all money saved.

The reason I am getting Homechoice is to use their internet service whilst my existing connection is disconnected and a new one is installed (a period of about 30 days). After this period, I would use the Homechoice internet service as backup option in case I have problems on my primary service (like I did for one month with Bulldog last year). I work from home and my business is Internet based so having a consistent service is paramount. I also quite like the idea of having the tv on demand and replay services that Homechoice offers for my own use.

So back to my original question, I am simply looking if there is a better connecting deal because of my needs. I wondered whether they did a recommend a friend promotion or whether people would know how to get the service for £13.75 per month. A £45 saving is a free month's service at the end of the day.

For the record, I did contact Homechoice and was told that all the deals are on the website. They also clarified that the Ideal Home Show offers is identical to those on the website.
