Gemma Collins is a reality star and already seems to think she is A list for some reason - apparently she has earnt her divaship! I think it is so obvious what she is doing having watched previous shows:

1) Have a panic attack on the helicopter
2) Scream when a tiny bug lands in your hair
3) Kick off about the lack of food in less than 24 hours
4) Be scared of everything

= being voted for all the trials in the first week = loads of air time.

Then miraculously she will become less scared off everything, start to do well in the jungle, get lots of votes and win! Well that is what her and her Manager have planned anyway.

Plus for a women that sold her story in the celeb mags last week, crying because of her weight and how mean everyone is to her because of her size, she is the first person to get her kit off and shower - REALLY?

Another contrived plan by her management team was to have the first shower scene. Last year it was Matthew Wright in a white bikini, this year it was the plus size bird - always makes the papers and this year it will be all about it not being the shower scene that men wanted. So predictable!

The only thing that her management team haven't factored in, is that Gemma is a very unlikeable character with a huge ego for no reason. She is spiteful when she is in her own environment with food, so can't imagine she will be pleasant when she is starving with little sleep! I think her and Michael Buerk will clash big style.

Probably a bit of career suicide I think.

I have never watched Towie, so am mildly interested to know what kind of person she is in her day job. And I can absolutely see what you are getting at here. Competitive reality shows tend to be harsh on quiet, pleasant people because they get voted out without ever featuring much at all.

I don't think rtv shows damage people very often: people generally have quite short memories. But I have to say I have not seen hide nor hair of Gillian McKeith since IAC.

I agree with everything....but I doubt her management is worried if people don't like her. They will make a fortune from mag deals etc. Gemma's jungle hell, Gemma has lost 3 stone on the jungle diet. Gemma puts jungle weight back on etc etc, they will wring out every £ possible for the next few months

Never seen Towie but I think she's been on '8 Out Of 10 Cats' ?

Every time she opens her mouth she might as we'll be saying "give me airtime". I also think she's doing it by numbers - I thought the same thing with Mark Wright but he has at least some like ability factor.
