I've really warmed to Simon over the past couple of weeks, he's improved so much now I would like to see him win, and just imagine Kristinas reaction that would be worth seeing.

Me too. His improvement is exceptional.

He is the most improved (with Mark a close second,) but I doubt he has sufficient public support to win.

I think he would definitely enhance the final if he and Kristina keep the standard up, he's certainly woken up and become more personable since his DO. I find them much more engaging to watch than Jake and Janette, better choreography and chemistry IMO. And they are infinitely preferable to Mark and Karen. Whether he could beat either or both of the two leader girls is probably doubtful but I'd like to see them have a shot anyway.

Liked him from the get go, though not enough actually to vote for him. He is my favourite of the male dancers… a position I arrive at by dint of not calling my absolute favourite human being on the show a 'dancer'

If Steve and Sunny are gone, I might transfer to Simon. I like him too.

Voted for him on Saturday.

His transformation is stunning.

Didn't like him in the beginning - partly because I don't care for Kristina, but the partnership has won me over. I think he's really improved.

I wanted him to do well at the start mostly because I really like Kristina but now Im fully on board with his " journey " this season. I really hope that he goes all the way.

I have liked him from the start, and could see that he had potential.

I don't view Simon as having improved any more than most of the better dancers. I thought his week 1 jive was excellent and possibly the best dance of that week. He's just been a bit inconsistent, but his Quickstep was also excellent and his Charleston and AT very good.

I think he's the best male dancer this year and have been giving him a vote almost every week since the beginning. I'd like him to make the final.

I'm pleased to see he seems to be gaining in support.

Me neither. Distinct lack of any personality.

Always amazed by the claims that another human being has no individual character. It's not possible?? Our genetic development as an animal that lives in a social group, our culture and the coherence of the forms we count as worthwhile is based on the interaction of individuals. Is Simon the exception? That would be groundbreaking and maybe even deserves a vote

Merrily speaking through my hat, as usual

I don't really like him to be honest. I've never liked Blue (they all come across as arrogant, and Lee Ryan in CBB certainly didn't help), and his whole "I could have done it much better" speech in week one has stuck in my mind since. He just doesn't come across as likeable.

When I heard he would be in this year's Strictly I thought he would do quite well and be one of the better dancers. What had me worried for him was he had this persona of "I'm here to win" in a way which may come across badly with the public if they couldn't connect with him.

After the last couple of weeks when he's been in the dance off and has seen the public wasn't as supportive as maybe he thought, I've seen more of a personable side to him that looks like he wants to keep improving, is grateful for the experience and can also be seen in his performances which I think have gotten stronger.

I don't really support anyone until towards the end of a series but I definitely look forward to seeing his dance now, along with Pixie.

I never like anyone in particular in week 1 of the series- I'm too busy learning names, processing information and trying to remember the differences between a salsa and a samba to make any informed decision on who I like.

But I do remember his "I should've done better" remark and recall being struck by how refreshingly honest he was being and how naive he was in doing so. People who know how to play the game understand the importance of modesty and playing down competitiveness, regardless of their true nature.

And to paraphrase the old cliche, once you can fake that, you can fake anything.

But to answer the OP- his breakthrough dance for me was his Charleston.

Think he has much improved both in dancing , confidence and likeability. His Argentinian Tango was excellent, but he has a lot of competition too.

Seems he has been battling demons ......

It really is - and he comes across as very sincere and honest. To me, he and Steve have been on 'the real journey'. They are the only ones who haven't been in stage school or had much movement training.

I am really hoping he makes it to the finals. If not, I'd like to see Pixie, Jake, Caroline and Frankie in it.
