Ok, so we're still in 2014 and the current series is still being broadcast; but which celebrities do you want to see on next year's series? Or who did you think might sign up?

It's way too soon for me to think about it really, but I want Keo Motsepe and Gordana Grandosek in as pros (in favour of Robin and Ola, natch).

Slebs-wise, maybe some of Lesley Nichol (Mrs Patmore from Downton and quite a likely choice, I should imagine), Hannah from S Club (now they're officially big again, and we're pretty thin on pop stars who could do it), Greg James, Max Chilton (the F1 driver who is essentially jobless after Marussia went bust), Michelle Collins, my dearly beloved Helen Skelton and Nitin Ganatra from EastEnders and just about every light entertainment show at the moment.

Patrick Grant from Great British Sewing Bee. What a handsome man!
David Neilson from Corrie. ( he'd probably be paired with Anton )
Mel and/or Sue from Bake Off
Bradley Walsh.

Ruth Langsford wife of Eamon Holmes wants to do it and has made it very clear she wants to do it.

Jessica Ennis Hill.

Kylie Minogue if not back on the voice.

Pipa Middleton.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini / Nicole Scherzinger to wind up Simon Cowell.

Dermot O Dreary.

These threads are always ridiculous. Kylie!? Jessica Ennis!?

There's more chance of The Queen participating than either of those two.

Hayley Tamaddon and Ruth Langsford have both said they would love to do it.

I,d love to see Dermot O'Leary do it or Paul O'Grady.

Let's see HMQ is amused by SCD.

If you read the OP question,

Ok, so we're still in 2014 and the current series is still being broadcast; but which celebrities do you want to see on next year's series? Or who did you think might sign up?

In a weak, tremulous and disheartened voice having wished for him for many years: Simon Reeve.

Dermot O' Leary would have to leave X Factor to do it. Wouldnt mind seeing Olly Murs on it, hes got a bit of rhythm.

I was thinking the other day - it's a shame those guys are tied into x factor (not sure if Olly murs still is but he used to do xtra factor) because they'd be great on the show.

I'd also like Nick Grimshaw to do it, and he's bbc so it could happen!

The historian who did the cheek to cheek program with Len would be brill as well, and she'd blatantly love it too!

I'd like to see the actress who plays Mary in Corrie in........she looks like she'd be a most enthusiastic contestant

I agree with Ruth Langsford

I'd also like to see Steven Dixon from sky news do it

I'd like to see less contestants with previous dance background (not saying professionals but who use dance within their job........) to make it more of an even contest!

Oh I would never have thought of him, but I love watching his series'.

Rebecca Adlington has made no secret of the fact she would love to do it.

Miranda Hart - but who would they partner her with? Bring back Ian.

I'd sell my soul to get Lucy Worsely on Strictly - I know her husband doesn't want her to go on but she was an absolute joy on the Dance History programme she did with Len.
