imo own brand ones are less filling and they dont soak up as much milk. real weetabix is heavier.

You just missed out!
Lidl were doing 48 of their own weetabix for 92p over the weekend! I haven't eaten real Weetabix for years, but the Lidl ones taste perfectly fine to me and have the same ingredients as the others. They were recently reduced to £1.95 for 36, but then Lidl did one of its XXL offers, selling 48 for the price of 36. Then, they were included in Lidl's weekend half price offers, which all meant they ended up at 92p! Safe to say I now have a virtual haystack in my cupboards. As for soaking up the milk, I find the Lidl ones soak loads of milk, it's just that they initially soak up a lot but then slowly soak up a lot more over the next 5 minutes. I've often poured on plenty of milk and prodded it all into 'porridge' with the spoon, only to have to add more milk half way through eating them because it's all turned into bread dough. And a 48-pack of real Weetabix is 900g, while Lidl's is 960g. A couple of weekends ago, Lidl were doing 48-packs of real Weetabix for £2.50 or something. |

I usually get Asda's own brand unless Weetabix are on some kind of offer and they taste pretty similar to me.

I've just bought some Weetabix, £3.95 for box of 72 from Morrisons.
I always like them with hot milk, Asda ones are okay, but prefer Weetabix to own brands. |

I switched to own brand a few years back. They're fine but I wasn't impressed with the value versions.
