Frankie and Pixie are firmly at the top in the dance ability, with Caroline close behind. I always thought that the next best dancer was Jake, but I'm starting to question that. I actually think that Sinon might actually be better. Jake is still good, don't get me wrong, but I think Simon is probably top man on ability alone. What do you guys think?

On potential to raise their game probably Steve and Sunetra are the weakest links. Both very nice people though.

NO, Simon is the BEST male celeb this year imo and I think that Jake is overrated.

I wouldn't single Frankie out. Pixie, undoubtedly but Frankie and Caroline are pretty interchangeable with Sunetra needing to do quite a bit more to catch up.

Steve is a strong contender for the next celeb to go.

I still regard Jake as the strongest male dancer even though he has a number of obvious weaknesses. His saving grace is that he doesn't smarm for England, really goes for it so he is either really good or a bit meh but unlike Simon and Mark he has never been in the bottom two so I would still see him as being the male celeb most likely to reach the final.

I love the way Jake just gives a weak smile, a wink and thumbs up when declared as returning and let Jeanette do the whooping.

Simon is also understated especially compared with Mark.

Simon's the best male celeb dancer IMO. At his best (eg, his jive and Qucickstep) I think he's reached a level unmatched by the other male celebs this year.

Jake seems a decent guy and I do like him, but I just don't think he's as good a dancer as Simon.

Frankie's the most natural and gifted dancer in the competition, I'd say either Mark or Simon are the best male celebs.

I think Simon is far better than Jake who is over-rated in my opinion, and certainly over-marked.

I think Simon and Mark are much more natural dancers than Jake. Not quite sure yet which I would say is the best, I'm not convinced any of them are that well rounded.

Jake's probably slightly ahead of Steve, but way behind Mark and Simon, who not only match or exceed his dancing ability are, rather ironically, better actors in the dances...

Pixie hammers Frankie in terms of actual technique- it's just Frankie is seen to have more "personality" in her dances...

I think Mark's probably more of an all-rounder as I don't particularly like Simon's Latin, but neither of them are technically as good as Frankie, Pixie and Caroline.

I think Simon and Jake are pretty similar in technique, Mark is behind them, and Steve last, of the male celebs left.

No, Jake is not the best dancer. He still has issues with flexibility and the ability to show any emotion. He still stomps about and cannot use the floor. I don't dislike him at all but he is just awkward and seems to dance everything like an angry serial killer looking for revenge

He also appears to have issues with body contact and practiclaly cringes when hugged. Awkward in dance. Makes you a difficult partner.

I like Simon the best, although I do want to improve his posture and flexibility - and neaten his feet! The urge to put things right is overwhelming in anyone who has ever taught dance. You just want them to look better!

Mark has the best technique but clearly he has had more dance training than he is owning up to. He is no beginner. Unfotunately I find him utterly obnoxious and fake and every time he opens his mouth I cringe. Not a fan and never will be, and I am quite unrepentant about that.

Totally agree. Frankie's legs and feet are still an issue. However I find her personality and beauty far more interesting than Pixie's.

Pixie is still acting 12 girly and lacks depth, despite having an exceptional talent for dance.

When Jake started he was seen as one of the best, but I think that was down to getting a dance that suited him. Since then he's struggled and appears to be quite stiff at times. Although he is good, others such as Simon are better.

Jake started off great but has gone down whereas now the best male dancer is Simon the last 3 weeks Simon has been great

As for the dancing, not a lot in it overall really. Depends on the specific dance imo

Simon is better technically but Jake is a more engaging performer. A lot of the technically better dancers (eg Pixie or Frankie) have a boringly generic style but Jake has his own signature style which he stamps on each performance and makes him more exciting to watch. Because he is not too perfect there is also the sense of anticipation in wondering if he will be able to pull off a dance or not. If celebs are too dance-trained they don't generate that kind of tension.

Also I don't believe Jake's form has dipped. Yes, his salsa was a standout performance but the supposed downward trajectory is merely the producers managing the viewers' expectations through the judges' marks and comments.

Mark is the best for me

I would say Simon & Jake are about level followed by Mark & then Steve.
