1. Simon - easily the best, imo. Yes, he's an arrogant so and so at times, but he generally knows what he's talking about, his song choices on the whole are best, and he mentored Leona Lewis who is my personal favourite contestant ever. He, whether people like it or not, is the essence of the show, and always has been.
2. Nicole - fun, entertaining and effortlessly likeable. I really miss her presence this year.
3. Kelly - Very underrated, and she often had a lot of good technical advice for the contestants.
4. Dannii - Seemed like such an odd choice for a judge, yet it worked. She seemed to care the most about her own acts. She struggled in 2008 when she mentored the overs (With Every Heartbeat for Rachel Hylton??????
) But on the whole, very good judge.
5. Sharon - entertaining, and cared a lot for her acts. Sometimes made odd choices with who she picked for the live shows (last year bar Sam in particular) and her song choices were often off, but she brought a certain something to the show.
6. Mel B - too stand offish and downright rude at times. Doesn't seem to be that bothered about the whole thing to be honest. She is entertaining and can make me laugh though.
7. Tulisa - she gets a raw deal, but she was obviously doing something right - Ella and Little Mix! However, there's something so tragic about her that makes it had to root for her.
8. Gary - bland, and his "nasty judge" persona seemed so contrived and forced.
9. Cheryl - bland bland bland. Always has been and always will be. I don't get the hype around her and never will.
10. Louis - a total joke. Not a fan, never was. Is always responsible for the worst decisions that we've ever had on the show. Maria leaving over The Conway Sisters? Ridiculous. And his song choices and decisions for his acts have been, on the whole, downright tragic.
