Spoiler
In the episode where Rose ran away with Georgie she showed Olivia a birth certificate which she claimed was proof that she was Georgie's mother but the certificate actually said 'child stillborn'. Rose then started to say something and Olivia ended the sentence by saying something similar to 'the baby never cried'.
Which is why Rose never got fired for taking Georgie.
There could of course be a massive twist showing that Andrew Swanson caused Rose to be given a fake birth certificate for her baby, but because she and Olivia seemed to agree about the 'baby never crying' then I don't think so.

Just had a thought!, As Olivia is not Georgies real birth mother, how come she plays the part of her Granddaughter?, as she wouldn't look exactly the same if there was no true blood line!....... So, does Olivia have another child somewhere along the way and!, who is the father?....

Good question!

Maybe Rose takes her baby back and Olivia marries the artist?

This embodies what I said earlier regarding the flashback scenes in S2 - we know the end result, but we don't know how they got there. So there's plenty of twists & turns for S4.

I would doubt that any grandchild would look exactly like a grandparent given the mixture of DNA.

Having the same actress playing the part of of Olivia's granddaughter saves the producers finding another actress to play the part and probably saves time and money.

Ooh no Charenton don't say that!....... There has got to be more twists and turns than that!...... They wouldn't do something like that just to save money and time!........ We have much more drama to come in the next series I am sure!........... Bring it on!....

Found this series by mistake and now I'm hooked!!! some of the s/ls art near the knuckle but great all the same
I have just done Catch up on Sky for series 2 and will be revisiting series asap. Love it.
I have noticed that Craig Hall played the horrible Inspector in Dr Blake Mysteries. He is much nicer in APTCH.
Looking forward to series4.

The artist, actor Rick Donald, that appears in series three to paint the pictures of Olivia & James was also a policeman in the Dr Blake Mysteries. He played Constable Daniel Parks.

We have a Craig Hall not far from where I live. It's used by the local Boy Scout Troop, among others, for their meetings.

Perhaps Aussie soaps have the same actor types like we have in relation to Corrie and EastEnders. They do a turn in them both.

I knew I'd seen the artists somewhere before! Thanks.

Wow, what an ending. I was saving the last episode to watch this weekend. It was fantastic, but I was sorry we won't see the next series for a while. Hope it comes back on the BBC soon.

Spoiler
I don't think Elizabeth or Sarah will die, as they're major characters, and we know Sarah is going to be lady of the house in her old age. I can see Elizabeth being rescued but I don't think her health will be very good in the next series- perhaps she'll have to adjust to her new circumstances.

I'm afraid Sarah might lose the baby. I hope Renee goes to prison.

I can see Olivia and James fighting over the baby, and then James discovering that the baby isn't his- and it isn't hers either. I don't think Rose is the real mother. And why did Rose continue working at Oak Park after she kidnapped George?

Could the poster have meant ............

Jack, for his role in the abortion?

Sorry, I got Rene (Sarah's husband) mixed up with Regina. I hope that ...

Spoiler
Regina gets caught for putting rat poison in Sarah's tonic and is imprisoned for attempted murder. I also hope that Sir Richard is made to face what he's done to Carolyn. I would like to see him imprisoned too. I don't want to see Jack charged with murder- surely his testimony about what the illegal abortionist did to the young girl can help convict the abortionist? Maybe he can do a legal deal?

And it's my prediction that James and Olivia will fight over the baby. I don't know what will happen in season 4, but I can't wait to see it
I don't think Rose is George's real mother. I still don't understand why Rose stayed on at Oak Park after she kidnapped George Maybe if James and Olivia go to court over the custody of George it will be revealed who the real mother is? Perhaps she will come forward, or Gino will tell the family what was written in the letter?

I have been overseas and only just caught up with the ending of the series, which was great. They threw in every cliff hanger except set Ash Park on fire!

When Regina first entered the story I found her irritating, now I love her going around in the haute couture of the day (in farmland!) listening at doors with rat poison in her handbag to see off one and all! She is a great panto villain.

I never warmed to Rene but I did find his funeral rites moving.

I doubt Elizabeth will expire on Carolyn's Sydney floor. She is one of the mainstays of the whole series, a brilliant character, expertly played. I think she has lots more in store and I relish seeing her take on Regina.

I hope Dr Henry Fox stays on too. He's definitely my taste!

Agreed. She really had great taste in clothes. You can't help but admire them for making her that way.

I am absolutely fascinated by all of them at the moment and the other night I spent ages on google and wiki reading about them and their careers , lots of photos as well, and the actress who plays Regina well!.... the difference in her when she is smiling and laughing!, you wouldn't know it was the same person, so she realty puts on a good act....

Joyce Collins was another who irritated me at the outset, but she is now becoming much more likeable.

Roy is the one bloke who I admire. He has a good word for everybody, and will support them, no matter what others may think

This is easily one of the best dramas on TV, but how sad that the BBC bury it in the afternoon! The ending of Series 3 was fantastic and although I am sure that Sarah won't die, it will be interesting to see how she will be saved.

My heart broke for poor Carolyn. It is so sad to see a woman so spirited and independent be so callously and viciously attacked by an unscrupulous man who thinks he is invincible. I hope Sir Richard gets his comeuppance and that Jack and Carolyn are strong enough to get through this ordeal.

However, the BBC was instructed by the BBC Trust to improve its daytime offering, especially drama. Hence we got The Indian Doctor, Father Brown, WPC 56, Moving On and others. A Place To Call Home will be part of that, and will have been bought by BBC Daytime out of the Daytime budget.

But I agree that it should get a prime time repeat (assuming that the purchased rights would allow for it)

I think someone mentioned this in the Father Brown thread (which I'm also a huge fan of),I don't think there is anything wrong with the BBC improving their daytime offerings, however, why aren't any of those excellent dramas and APTCH repeated in the evening? It beats awful rubbish like the new Zoe Ball venture and Tumble any day of the week!

I'm speculating here, but it could be down to one of two things (or a combination of both):

1) BBC Daytime is, I believe, a separate cost centre, so would have its own programme budget, quite separate from the main BBC one or BBC Two budget.

2) The rights as purchased might have allowed one initial broadcast and one repeat but might not have allowed for a prime-time broadcast (prime time is likely to cost more as more people will be likely to be watching). Thus, the rights will probably have been affordable within the constraints of the Daytime budget, but might have swallowed up too much of that budget had the rights been agreed for a prime time broadcast or repeat.

Hope that makes sense.

Does it really matter that these dramas' are on during the day?, I never watch them (or very rarely).. during the day as I work most days and don't get home until about 3.30, but what I do is record them on my freeview box so I watch them during the evening when I find there is hardly anything but reality programmes of one sort or another which the tv channels seem to think we only want to watch!.... ....... There is very little that I watch directly as it is being transmitted... So I look forward to watching them during the evening when I am ready to watch and I thik in this day and age there are a lot of people like me that do the same!........ And a real treat!.... when I get in bed at night I get my tablet and watch one of my favourites!... A Place to call Home or Doctor Blake Mysteries on the IPlayer..........

The only thing I would say is 'Perhaps they should advertise the daytime dramas' so that people who are not aware of them can, if they want record them to have a look at and see if they like them or not!'........
