I have just found out that Ben Winspear who plays Rene is actually Marta Dusseldorp's (Sarah's) husband in real life.
No wonder her acting was so emotional today. |

Sorry, Doghouse Riley, but I don't agree.
I can't wait to see how the next series will continue but I don't want this series to end. I have been enthralled from start to finish. ![]()

No I don't agree either Doghouse!....... I too have been enthralled since they started us off with series 1 again and I just love this programme and cant bear the thought that we will have to wait until after next xmas before it is.. (hopefully) (!) back with us again......
![]() ![]() And with reference to earlier comments about the flashback scenes being too early - yes we know that Sarah becomes Lady of the house, we know that Olivia has a daughter of her own, but the fascinating part is finding out how the characters get there. |

I haven't seen the UK showings of this programme, but have watched the Aussie version. There are some scenes that I imagine may be edited for showing over here, as the episodes are broadcast during the afternoon. There is some adult content in the storylines that might not be considered suitable for that time of day in the UK.
If anyone has seen both the UK and Aussie versions maybe they could confirm if this is correct? |

That must have been so weird to film, even though you know its not real its still your husband who's ''dead''. Especially when he was made up as the corpse, he really did look dead.

Yes, but there are also other scenes regarding Sarah's past which were also graphic for afternoon viewing I would have thought. I have tried to write as little as possible, as I have never used the 'spoiler' option and am unsure how to, so as not to give too much away. That being said, the scenes I am thinking of - edited or not - may well have already been shown.

Oh I didn't know that!! The actors who play Jack and Carolyn are also married in real life!
I think this final episode will be good but not wanting it to end. |

If you mean the girl who was interviewing Sarah, was she not Olivia's granddaughter, which could be Georgie's daughter? The age would fit if she was.

We had a 2 hour power cut yesterday that began 30 mins. before start of programme.
Thankfully have now caught up. Todays episode is the last of series 3 & will not end up good for Sarah. |

As I said watching at Aussie Pace, I thought the season had lost a bit of the sweetness and light that marked out the first two seasons.
This season felt like the 'Empire Strikes Back' in terms of darkness and tone. But the characters and scenery still make it watchable. |

I really hope your thoughts on the outcome are all wrong. I just hope Regina gets what she deserves. Waiting with bated breath for the next series. |

For FS what are the BBC 2 schedulers playing at.
A Place to Call Home is replaced by The Doctor Blake Mysteries season 2 but Episode 8 of 10. What a stupid idea.Only to be followed by episodes 9 & 10. Then to compond the stupity they begin repeats of series 1. |

We have touched on this briefly a few days ago radioanorak, I noticed that they were staring at 8/10 but when I looked back on my recordings as someone had said 'They ended just before xmas with 7/10 so that's why they are carrying on with the next episode!, as for going back to series one again!, well we are due for a complete new series so maybe they are starting again and running into the new series at the end of it all?, I suppose that could take us well into the summer eh!..... I see they are also starting WPC56 but again!, looking at the info, they are also repeats because I remember both stories I have glanced at!...... I liked that series as well but i'm a bit fed up with repeats, repeats, repeats!..... why cant they get on with recording these series a bit quicker?, if they can do all these crap soaps day after day, surely they could work a bit quicker on something decent!......

By the way!, if it is A Place to Call Home you are saying you have only just got into?, it might be worth you (depending on what you have seen so far?).... getting the first and second series!, I know they have it on Amazon!,.. it's such a great series its a shame if you haven't seen it from the beginning!... |

Which show are you referring to there lobeydosser?, if you mean A place to call home we have a bit of a wait i'm afraid!.. it looks like series 4 wont be aired over here in the uk until after next xmas!..... i'm not sure what series we are onto with the Doctor Blake mysteries!, but I have a feeling it's series 3 thats the newest one due anytime soon!.... WPC56 I think we have only had a couple of those so maybe we will get a 3rd series of that in the not too distant future!.....

It did seem an odd way to show DB - starting with the new series and then the repeats - I preferred catching up with both the old series of A Place to Call Home before the new series started. I've nearly got to the end of Series three, as I watch on iPlayer whenever I can fit an episode in. |

Back onto the thread topic - an excellent ending to the series. I liked the darker tone.
And yes, I do think that Sarah will sadly lose the baby.
