Just a discussion thread; which coming out storyline have you enjoyed the most? I haven't watched all but from the top of my head I remember:
Syed Masood (Eastenders)
Johnny Carter (Eastenders)
Ben Mitchell (first round) (Eastenders)
Ben Mitchell (we're in the midst of round 2) (Eastenders)
John Paul McQueen (Hollyoaks)
Craig Dean (Hollyoaks)
Aaron Livesy (Emmerdale)

For me, I'd have to say Aaron's as it came across as very well researched and had a lot of angst and drama associated with it!

What are your thoughts? Feel free to include any I haven't

Danny Miller always looks like he hates playing gay so that puts me off.

I know what you mean. After it was all out in the open and he started his relationship with Jackson it all got a bit shit as it was obvious how uncomfortable he was!

Johnny by far as that was just beautifully done and if it wasn't for linda breaking down it fitted the critea for a Julia theme on the fact it was really emotional.

As a storyline syeds though as that was really a really long process of coming to terms with it himself and ten it still took ages for gis family to accept that and thy had many ups and downs in the process. It was quite a dramatic storyline

Johnny EE or Aaron ED

The Ben one from EE was the worst, and why are they doing it twice?

It's really odd that they've had him come to terms with it before, and then have him return not accepting his own sexuality. I hope they explore its because of bullying he had in prison for it that he's no longer accepting of his sexuality, otherwise the story is odd.

I did like Aaron's one a lot.

Johnny's was good, but Aaron's was better as we had seen him battle his sexuality for a long time, where as Johnny had battled his off screen and had admitted he was gay within a fortnight of being on screen. Apart of me disliked Johnny's because it felt to me he was pressured in coming out by Shirley and the nasty petty actions of Nancy dropping him in it. You should never pressure or expose someone'e sexuality until they are ready. I think it can damaging. Aaron wasn't pressured. His sexuality was worked out by Paddy and Paddy gave him an opportunity to admit, but even then when he said those words he was gay, he was still in denial and fought against it. I liked that. Although Paddy later told people about Aaron's sexuality, he told them as a way to help Aaron, not in a bitchy gossipy type way. The Aaron storyline was perfectly done. It crapped on all those negative stereotypes of how people perceive gay men to be. Although i have zero respect for Danny miller due to his attitude on playing a gay character though.

The ben was poor because we had this character called Duncan who was used as a crap device to help Ben come out. Then we had that scene with him and Phil when ben came out and Phil went running out crying like a women. But i enjoyed those scenes with ben and patrick in The minute mart. However I disliked Patrick a lot because even though he had an old school opinion of homosexuality, he was ignorant or unsympathetic in what ben was going through.

I know its like they just want a same old tiresome gay love triangle with girl being used ......yet again, so they've changed history to suit it
god no wonder Sam strike left.

Todd's one was good. Eileen's reaction to her son's sexuality is so admirable. She had a negative opinion of gay men beforehand, but in a split second, she put that all aside and accepted her son for who he was. She never rejected him. and look how eileen came to be, who would go on to have inseperable relationship with Sean. It was Jason who turned nasty and vicious towards him.
