“Presented live from Elstree Studios, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman welcome the seven remaining celebrities back to the floor in a bid to guarantee their spot in the competition as the final draws ever near. As ever, judges Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli will have their scoring paddles at the ready. Plus our pros are joined by some of the UK’s best Bollywood dancers in a visual and musical spectacular to start the show.

At the end of the show, the voting lines will then open and it is down to the public to save their favourite couple from the dreaded dance off in Sunday night’s show.”

“Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman present Strictly Come Dancing, as the pressure mounts for the celebrities to shine on the ballroom floor.

With only two weeks to go until the final, the competition will reach fever pitch. The celebrities and their professional partners will face Strictly judges Len, Darcy, Bruno and Craig, as the panel get tougher judging routines. Plus tonight the competition gets even tougher as not only do the couples perform a routine, they will also take to the floor in a ‘Walzathon’ as the y fight for some much needed points to get them one step closer to the final.

The public will then cast their votes, deciding which pairings will go head to head in the dance off on Sunday’s Results show.”

I think we've known about the Around the World week for a while now - not that the press pack gives much information! And the Waltz-a-thon makes me think of the group Viennese Waltzes that they used to do, which is nice. Except I imagine it'll be in the same vein as the Swing-a-thons, with the couples being voted off one-by-one. Without all the lifts. And the tricks. And with a Waltz.

There were a couple of threads about the Round the World thing with some music suggestions. I bloody hate any of the 'thons' they do. I would much rather the celebs did two dances. Didn't Ali and Brian belie their saccharine image by getting really vicious in the waltzathon one year?

Waltzathon
Yeah baby!

They'll spin and spin, faster and faster till one by one they'll fly off the dancefloor into automatic elimination.

Waltzathon is a million miles better than a swingathon, so that's good.

I still dread to think what this 'round the world' theme means though...

Yeah. That reminds me of Battletops when I was a kid!

Will all the couples have danced a waltz before the waltzathon?

If it's Slow Waltz, Simon won't have. If it's Viennese Waltz, Pixie, Steve, Jake, and Caroline won't have.

Props galore, and bad musical choices that suit the theme rather than the dance.

Is this perhaps the reason all the talk of Indian Bharatnatyam style dancing was bandied about earlier this season.

Could it be one of those terrible weeks from DWTS, where no-one does any 10-dance at all, and instead we have a dance lineup of "Irish Dancing, Flamenco, Jitterbug, Polka, Afro Jazz and Bolero"?

I doubt it. The press pack was probably prepared long before Halloween which is why Claudia's name appears.

Just watched it and let's just say, they didn't particularly worry where other people were.

No change there, then!

I strongly dislike these dance marathons - the idea remind me of the depressing film "They Shoot Horses Don't They". I watched it while I had glandular fever and cried for days afterwards.

Jeez, looking at that, they are the most elegant couple.

I voted for her, just the once, when she hurt her foot, first time I ever voted and the last till Chelsee made the final.
