I would like an unplugged week like they used to do the US version

Absolutely appalling theme and terrible songs that don't redeem it. Its so frustrating to have such a dynamic and interesting top 12 made up from the pre live shows and then have it all ruined with disgracefully lazy and over done songs. Not a scrap of imagination. It's like the producers don't even care about the show any more or appealing to a young audience. Ehh remember in season 7 when Cher Lloyd sang Jay Z, Eminem? When Little Mix did a relatively unknown En Vogue song? Come on, they're not even trying to engage young audience any more. These contestants should be singing stuff by Hozier, George Ezra, Ellie Goulding, One Republic etc...

I think Ben could be a gonna, that song choice looks very risky. On paper Lauren's looks bad but I think she might slow it down and make it more suited to her style.

Why is Fleur doing that tired, karaoke song for? It screams bottom and "shock exit" to me.
Her song choices have been really good up to this point too.

I think Cheryl and Brian Friedman are both getting fed up. I just watched last Sunday's Xtra Factor and Cheryl made a jibe about how an act can be modern and current with such dated themes while Brian appealed for different songs and more uptempo numbers. I wish the producers would listen.

Exactly right. Going into the lives I thought there were some good acts but everyone has been done over with lame themes; useless song choices and no imagination at all.

Couldn't agree more. It's so dated, so dull, so tired and it;s like they can't even be bothered to try any more.

It's not even the young who can't engage with the song choices. I'm in my 40's and I find it all so dated, dull and predictable

Lauren was not great and OTY are gone.
