What's the point of all he singing?

What's the point of all of the acts singing when the voting is open as programme starts........?

Stevie was receiving votes not even based on his singing performance. This hardly makes is a singing competition at all and turns it into a popularity contest.

Had Stevie sung first, he would have been out tonight, easy.......

What's the point in any of them singing full stop? When people who can sing are eliminated way before those who can't it seems rather pointless that they bother to sing at all.

My main grievance with Stevi is every week the dancers writhe all over him stroking his chest and ruffling his hair - this is not my sort of entertainment - it makes me feel physically sick 😝

I'm not clear why Stevi would have been out had he sung first - are you saying that those who voted early for him were expecting him to be better than he was?

If this were a singing competition we'd not hear nearly so much about Lauren's minimal dancing, Fleur's dresses, Andrea's facial expressions, Stereo Kicks' names... It's always been an entertainment show, which each year injects some life for a while into the performing careers of a few of those who reach its later stages. Stevi entertains enough people well enough to still be there.
