Would Stevie really be getting as many votes if people had to pay for them? Because the votes are free, people are sticking 5 votes on him, whereas they possibly wouldnt bother to make 5 votes by phone with the costs that would bring.
Has having the free app votes affected the results this year?
No. The unfunny joke acts singing Ricky Martin songs always finish 5th or 6th (Chico, Rylan, Wagner, Jedward...Stevie this year)
Hard to say. I don't have anything that would run the app, and if it hadn't been introduced I'd have put in a few votes for Stevi by now - it's that bit harder to spend the money when I know most of the votes are being cast for free. So at least as far as this viewer is concerned free voting is working against him. I'll probably put a few his way tonight though.
