I can't stand him. He relies on his physique way too much. Well it is all he has to offer, in my opinion anyway.

Jimmy is the opposite. Not exactly 'buff', but very funny and just has 'a way' about himself. Again, only my opinion.

He comes across as being really desperate, that's not a good thing.

Jake makes an effort and in my mind is 100% more likeable and deserving a place much more than Gemma Collins.

Completely agree. He just seems so desperate for fame and it's a very unappealing trait. Another one cut from the Mark Wright cloth - which isn't a good thing imo

Absolutely, and when the other camp mates talk of him, they all seem to like him and they are the ones spending 24 hours a day with him and not just the selected bits we see. Although I did notice Foggy giving him a funny look, I think he's a bit put out with Jake and Jimmy's friendship.

Its also telling as to what kind of a lad he is that he was VERY popular in the XF house too, all the contestants spoke very warmly of him and many were visibly upset the week he was voted out. Mel B has also lost three contestants and has never been more upset than the week she lost him. He has the kind of personality that makes people gravitate to him, a friendly, northern lad.

You dont have to like him but the point is for this thread to label him a creep based on a few minutes of footage is harsh and is contrary to the testomonies of people who have actually spent considerable time with him who couldnt speak highly enough of him. I don't know him personally but know of him through friends as we're from the same town and not far apart fin age and I've never heard anyone say anything bad about him and that was 'pre fame' when he was just doing the pubs and functions circuit in Scunny.

I do however consider that since the XF house and that he has split with his girlfriend and that will undoubtedly have changed his approach with women compared to the XF house for example and I did say I think he's trying too hard with the women in the jungle. I don't consider him a creep though.

Tbh I cannot take that even remotely seriously, XFactor is well known for being completely stage managed and scripted. They may all have loved him but to take it as a given because the show said so is naieve.

Anyway, a lot of us don't dislike him as such, we just don't want to spend the evening watching some bloke who has only been known for a few months, galavanting around the jungle showing his body and trying to get down the girls pants. If we wanted to see this we would be watching Geordie Shore or The Valleys.

Its made worse by the fact that this is hogging the screen time, everyone else are supporting roles behind Jake trying to get laid.

The term creep is likely thrown out (and I don't entirely agree with it), because many of us see this as incredibly lame (going on a TV show to flirt and try and get some in order to boost your popularity that is).

Eh Everyone (well most on here) is accusing Jake of being a pervert. The title of the thread is that he is a creep.

If any of the women in there have a problem then I have great faith in their abilities to deal with him. However, they all appear to enjoy his company and chose to be in it so to label him a creep is unacceptable in my view.

That's a stretch... Nobody (or at worst a couple may have) called Jake a pervert in this thread. A creep isn't a pervert and most people seem to be saying that he is annoying and desperate more than anything else.

And whether those around him are cool with him has nothing to do with whether others want to watch him nor whether he is a creep or not actually.

This has nothing to do with my point though. Cats Eyes said that if it was a man who might not be so good looking,or older, everyone would be accusing that person as a pervert at the very least I am saying Jake has been called that despite his relative youth and supposed good looks.

As for wanting to watch him you are entitled to choose yourself but to happily label him a creep, which is a very nasty comment, you must at least have some evidence and I say the evidence is flimsy as the women he is supposedly being creepy towards seem to like him and want to spend time with him.

I need do nothing of the sort as I've not called him a creep. I've said that I'm tired of the fake romances and how the cameras are focused on him. I don't care to find out if Jake gets laid. I want to see the group as a whole without all the predictable, scripted crap.

This seems to be the common opinion here as in this thread, because one or two people agree that he is a creep doesn't mean everyone who in unhappy with his presence does.

I agree the people that count don't find him creepy. I'm just watching it again and it's the bit where according to some, he's supposed to be harrassing Nadia in the morning, and he says something like, you look good in the morning and she laughs then strips off to her bra in front of him. Doesn't look like she finds him too creepy.

Exactly, While he may be coming across as a bit too full on to us as viewers, they're all fiesty women in there and are more than capable of dealing with him if they have a problem with him. To date, none of them seem to.

I find him really boring and one-dimensional and a bit too by-numbers and desperate for attention, but that's just my perspective.
