When I first saw Simon I thought Kristina had a contender this year. Tall handsome and looked like he would be able to actually dance - but Oh his attitude quickly put me off. Then they did their Charleston and he started to loosen up, their AT was amazing and I started to see him thaw, become more enthused about the dance and didn't look like he was taking the judges criticism as a personal affront. Last night he was genuinely enjoying the waltz - something I love to see from the celebrities. A lot of that is down to Kristina. I havn't always been a fan of hers but this year I think she deserves the credit due her.
I think this year your 'sexy pole dancer' label is unfair Terry, both to her and Simon. It hasn't been necessary. Last night they both did a pure, romantic, tradition waltz and it was lovely.

I would have agreed until last night when we met her. She's actually lovely, much more fragile, polite and unassuming than man eating, femme fatale in person and Simon was lovely listening politely to an old lady seated behind us who decided to give him the wisdom of her ballroom dancing experience! I think she's been branded unfairly, maybe she needs to tone down the public over bright siren persona and be more true to the much nicer real person she seems to be. I think his comment in the first week he was in it to win it didn't help him either. I wouldnt be sorry to see them win. Might even vote for them over the girls in a final

This. ^^ She gets a rough deal. I am glad she is through to the 1/4 final - loved their dance tonight.

Where did all this come from?
Could it be women feel threatened by someone that dances aggressively sexually?
Kristina's more a sentimental pusscat than tigress.

Why do people hate Kristina? She seems lovely.

I love Kristina, she is lovely as you say, its only on the internet that these things happen, in the real world at home viewers love her too, she is so talented at what she does.

How do you know whether or not viewers at home love her? You don't. Just as you don't know the pros or the celebs as real people. You're making OTT personal judgements about them when you only see them on your TV screen and assume that everyone does the same and agrees with you in your bias for or against individuals. We don't.

Loving or hating any of them doesn't come into it either. That applies to people you actually know and have personal contact with not people on TV. You can like what you see on screen or not be keen on it and that's all.

And by referring to Kristina as a "pole dancer", you're calling her a tart.

I'm loving her partnership with Simon and I would love to see them win, her choreography has been spot on and she knows how to use his strengths to the best effect!

I would never use such a single word to describe anyone Janet, its a shame that you have chosen too, especially someone as sweet and lovely as Kristina.

It was you who referred to her as a pole dancer. Your words are as clear as day in the title of this thread that you started.

Indeed and then proceeds to give a disingenuous rebuttal.

It's blatantly obvious what he means by using that term and it's not nice.

As annoying as Terry sometimes is, I can't actually see where he calls Kristina a 'pole dancer' and therefore can't possibly be accused of insinuating that she is a 'tart'.

He suggests that she partakes in 'sexy pole dancing'. Many women, myself included, partake in pole dancing classes as a way of keeping fit and having an active social life. Are the OP's also suggesting that I am therefore a 'tart'?

He is the OP who put the execrable thread title in and I quote verbatim.

"Can KRISTINAS - *Sexy Pole Dancing* - Slip Simon Into A Strictly Final Hot Spot ?"

So if you cannot get where he refers to Kristina Pole dancing with the pretty explicit thread title, then I give up. The title is as explicit as a Daily Star headline, which has even less subtlety than a Sun one.

What is even worse, is the OP knows EXACTLY what they are doing as it gets a reaction. Then the have the cheek to act all coy & twee thereafter. I just wish people would cotton on to his antics & stop responding. Yet I have fallen into the very same trap by posting in this thread.

I would never suggest such a thing of you or anyone else, this association with loose morality is a completely bogus suggestion which I'm sure those who make it now regret.

No, Terry, we don't regret it. It's obvious what the thread title means.

Now I've fallen into the trap and responded again even though I try to make myself not respond.

And seethelight, you and all the other women who attend pole dancing classes do it either at home or in class so most definitely you are not a tart. Some suggest that those doing it in public in costumes made of not very much have loose morals, because it's designed to titillate and it obviously succeeds in that respect with those whose minds are immature. That's why it's common in sleazy night clubs frequented by people who can't get their pleasure any other way..
