Wtf is wrong with this show?

Hollyoaks you never fail to disappoint.....erm.

Hollyoaks is obsessed with teen pregnancy to the point it's creepy. On screen or not Frankie, Myra, Leela, Sienna, Amy, Finn and now Peri have all had storylines of underage pregnancies in the last 6 years.

It is absoltely ridiculous and for ONCE I would like to see how someone (especially of their age) copes with the decision to have an abortion. Peri already looks like Amy 2.0 might as well go the whole hog.

1st paragraph. Funny enough, all of them except Finn and Frankie have been made by Kirkwood...

2nd paragraph. That could be good, I really rate Tom as a character and Ellis as a young actor and it would challenge Tom's maturity and adding the Osborne clan and Leela and Tegan in the mix too.

But by saying Amy 2.0 do you mean that Peri will be pregnant for 10 months too?

I like the the Cunningham line will be increased. But gosh... Cannot imagine Tom being a dad

They've had so many pregnancy stories - feels like too many right now. I'd rather see Tom and Peri give us the school element we used to have.

It's a shock how Grace can't get pregnant in the most fertile place in the world. We really don't need to deal with another teen pregnancy or even just a pregnancy for that matter.

"Year of safe sex" - really? You're going to over do it then and then people won't pay attention, especially teenagers.

All of this "we wanna promote awareness for dis" is ridiculous and insulting because they have not executed any of the awareness storylines decently at all.
John Paul's rape was a train wreck except from the inital episode succeeding it as we all know.
Ste was merely packed off to rehab for his drug addiction after a few episodes here and there of him stealing to fund his habit and going a bit nuts once or twice.
Carmel's infertility was taken the complete wrong direction when she tried to kidnap her cousin's child several times. I can't think of one person I know with fertility issues that wouldn't be completely offended at the character being portrayed like that and using infertility as an excuse.

The only one so far that hasn't been completely screwd up is Cindy's mental health issue but I am just waiting on them destroying that one too.

Leela and Cameron will be grandparents at 26, Why Tom's parents would be 70 odd if alive on screen, I thought the incest plot was bad but this is something else, I mean they didn't the youngest age sex/ pregnancy storyline several years ago with Amber and Finn aged just 12.

And so it carries on, they can't think of anymore shit stories so they come up with this, why can't Tom & Peri just be friends? He was the for her when her parents died now they're both going to be ruined by this silly storyline.

As said above they will probably end up giving the baby to Grace, if bk has anything to do with it.

I'm guessing that most people who have posted on here are old enough for the whole safe sex thing but there are younger people who watch hollyoaks and something like this can make them think twice.

Also, I can't see Peri having the baby, I think Tom is mature enough to look a at the situation and realise that they're too young and how it will affect their future and I doubt any of the families will be too keen either
