Hi Folks

I recently bought a MHL Adaptor Cable for 11 Pin Devices suitable for Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 from Maplins. This would have hopefully enabled whatever is shown on the screen of the phone to also be display on the TV. However, the sales person said it should also work on the Samsung Galaxy S4 which I have. However, it does not seem to work.

Do you think there is something wrong with my TV?

Thank You

I have one of these I use with a Galaxy S4, it works OK. Note you do have to connect the second USB plug to a power source (like your mobile phone charger)

A lot of modern SMART TV's allow you to simply connect your phone/tablet directly and wirelessly to the TV - Sony call it 'screen-mirroring' (presumably other manufacturers call it something else?).

Does chromecast allow you to mirror your phone desktop to the screen? Or is it limited to videos only?

Yes it does... it allows everything that displays on your mobile to display on your screen albeit with a slight lag.
The only restriction I've seen to that is the Sky app, which comes up with a sentance that says it does not allow miracast.

Other than that it handles everything I've thrown at it via my phone.
