Santa was right Clara is not and should not be ok. One minute she was traveling the stars and also had a boyfreind. Now she has neither. Course she would be depressed. Other companions would surely have experienced the same thing. Trying to get back to a "normal" life and routine. Amy told 11 she had a good life with Rory in past New York really ?. They had eachother and possibly an adopted son Anthony but that was all they had. Amy and Rory were cut off from everyone (Brian,11 ,River/Melody) and everything they loved and knew for the rest of their lives. Sarah Jane admited she struggled too saying the doctor was a tough act to follow. What next for Clara ?. Really hope at christmas she gets something to help her get on with her life. Christmas is a time for miracles, she might just end up believing in Santa again.
