Why are BT TV so greedy ?
Did you know that once you get to the end of your BT TV/ Internet/ phone contract and still paying on time you can NO longer add TV channels / bolt on without signing up for another years contract ......
The Bolt on is paid by the month and can be stopped by them or you with notice . I am in credit and never been late with my BT phone bills and now my Internet and TV, so why are they so mean and greedy in not allowing customers to add a bolt on even if they are to end of there contract as they can soon cut you off at any time if payments are not being made on time ... Yet again greed is shown that as a customer you are not trusted to make payments even when records and accounts show that they will not be out of pocket ?? I feel that BT is about to loose me fully and others as I have renewed other contacts in the pass and given discounts and extras or even been out of contact yet still able to buy films and add services with other platforms ...shame on BT |

BT are the same as every other company I have ever dealt with in that firstly they will try to sell you at full price but if you kick and scream enough they will give some kind of discount, there are lots of examples on the BT forum.
Also if that is true about the bolt ons (how do you know, did you change via the website) obviously if you want to keep the free sport you need to recontract. It might be worth putting it on the BT forum here https://community.bt.com/t5/YouView-Boxes/bd-p/YouView To see what other people's experiences are or getting the mods to respond.. |

I think you may have posted this on the BT Forum as well?
Like we all suggested you should contact the mod's on there as bolt on's only have a one month contract not 12 months. |

I was just thinking the same thing about how greedy BT are ive not thought about it till recently as i just pay my bills to them and don't think about what im actually getting, just being comparing BT to TT for the full package as my BT contracts up soon
Currently have BT Weekend only calls infinity 2 and BT TV with Entertainment, Hd and Kids + extra box though will be getting rid of the extra box option weather i stay/go anyway as i dont really use the premium stuff on the second box, it comes to £65 a month £60 without the extra box . Ive just being looking at TTs offering and its a hell of a lot better value in general, On the plus package you get unlimited anytime calls (yes i know no one hardly ever uses land-lines these days but its still there as better value) plus the equivalent to infinity 2 speed wise, And then the TV with all the channels which there is a hell of a lot more than on BT (although lack of HD is a bit of a bummer but not a deal breaker) that comes to £45.95 for the first 12 month then £60.20 after so same price as BT but a lot more for you're money, seriously considering the switch in Feb as i very much doubt BT will give any amazing offers to stay with them all they do is spout about how you get BT sport free which i have zero interest in, Ash |

The Bolt on is paid by the month and can be stopped by them or you with notice . Of course if you are getting free BT Sport, you'd have to renew a 12 month contract but that's a separate issue altogether and even then, you'd still have the choice to pay half price for BT Sport with no 12 month contract renewal. Ignoring the BT Sport issue, Bolt Ons are done with one month's notice to cancel (as with Sky when outside contract). |
