Michael Buerk
seems a miserable sod. Is he skint? I can't imagine why else he would be doing this. He is a bit of a buzzkill - he really grates on Mel too. I reckon he will one of the first ones off.

Apparently he's doing it to get double glazing
![]() ![]() I feel that response was part of his dry sense of humour. I love him and wish the camp was full of his type

I agree, I was looking forward to seeing him in the show and he just comes over as boring

When Jake was doing the trial he wasn't exactly effusive in his encouragement. You often get people in there that think they are above it all and they are in there for exactly the same reasons as everybody else - they need the dosh, they wan't to raise their profile if they are newbies or their star has waned and they are looking for a career revivals.

I like him and he's wasted on this kind of show. He won't get airtime. I loved someone's comment about him learning to rap. He should teach how to report from a war torn country in return.

![]() The whole point is it takes all sorts and I'm pleased someone more restrained like him is in there. I just wish there were more ![]() Quote:

Though I love him just the way he is Oh and I do really enjoy his chats with Vicki. Someone suggested they were auditioning for Gogglebox when they were sitting on the sofa

Not everybody is effusive. In his past career as a broadcaster in very difficult and upsetting areas of the world, he has no doubt had to conduct himself with restraint.

What happened between him and Mel earlier - all I caught was her abruptly telling him something like " you're not my father "

I've been quite disappointed by him. I expected him to be more interesting. As someone else said though we may get to see more of him as time goes by.

I think he's interesting, but we're not seeing any of him, it's all Jake, Jimmy and Kendra. Oh for the days when we had live feed and could make our own minds up about the contestants, not just seeing what the producers want us to see.

I don't think Michael is so much boring as bored.
All the camp mates are out of their comfort zone, but I think they are comfortable around each other - apart from Michael. I don't think he knows how to interact with the others, except maybe (unlikely though it is) Tinchey who is also very quiet and subdued. Maybe he should get to do a trial, and that will show what he is, or is not, capable of. |

I like him. In fact, since Craig Charles left, Michael is probably the only one I do like.

He's not done much other than the odd bit of cutting narrative (Gemma Collins anyone?) but he shouldn't be first out the exit - Tinchy is the dullest, non-contributing contestant I've ever seen. And now he's started moaning, "I'm anti-pool"
Tinchy out first. |

I really like him tbh, I wish he'd get more air time as he is being edited in order to be voted out first. I have seen and heard enough of Jake for the last 3 days give someone else a chance!

She was going a bit OTT when she found out about the CIA and I think Michael Burk said something like "shush" at which point she flew at him and told him not to speak to her like that "you're not my father" I do like her, she's very gutsy, but I'm beginning to see another side to her, I should imagine she could be a right cow when she's in a temper.

![]() I personally think Foggy should go first as he's the one I'd miss the least. Michael's doing fine in my view. He's being shown and is as active as the likes of Tinchy, Nadia, Vicki and Foggy and has had some good conversations. I reckon it's just people are expecting more of him. |
