Obviously wanted him to look good mel had a much harder trial i also think when he lost 2 lives he should of lost 2 stars

No, he made it look easy.
It would've been an easy trial if any of the campmates could have breezed through it. Nadia, Kendra and Jimmy wouldn't have got more than half of those stars.

Er when the trial was devised they didn't know it would be Jake. Only someone like Mel/Foggy would have made it look as easy as Jake. I can't see the likes of Jimmy or Tinchy breezing through it to be honest.

He was just given lives for that specific trial, just like he was given time limits for the other ones.
No reason to penalize him for stars he's already won.
He MADE it look easy, it wasn't easy. The stuff that he did are actually played in The Cube without critters, and 90% of contestants have been worse than he was despite him being joined with insects and a snake.

He did make it look easy - but I'm remembering the live trial that Kilroy-Silk did a few years back and it wasn't nearly as difficult as that.

I don't think it was easy at all, it was Jake who made it look easy, if one of the others had done it then it may not have been such a breeze. Well done Jake, who by the way seems like a very likeable chap, don't know why he getting such bad press on here.
I agree,, i was shocked at how easy it was,, a few tricky tasks, but nothing hideous,, just take a look on you tube for Dean Gaffneys trial, that would make most people scream

but that is just tricky,, yes some of the tasks were tricky, but this is IAC, there was nothing there to make him scream and say "get me out of there"
