Gemma merna was desperate to be on the show yet this nonity gets the gig

People seem to be getting those tricky tasks mixed up with the vomit inducing nasty trials that other celebs have had in previous years, Jake was quick and didnt moan,, but he had it way easier than other Celebs, Mels trial was harder

I think it was probably designed in case Kendra got it. It wasn't easy but he didn't even get dirty. Normally they are covered in nastyness, often have to eat something evil and dig through nastyness. This one required some skill at times but it was nowhere near as compelling or nasty as these trials normally are. It was dissapointing.

*thats got nothing to do with Jake though, its the show and I doubt wanting to pimp Jake has anything to do with it, I would imagine its more a case of making it so that it wouldn't result in Kendra saying "get me out of here" and them having time to fill.

Actually her only quotes are regarding it being a challenge, and she was supposedly dropped to take Nadia instead. Only wanting to take one of a certain 'type' in.

The point is why turn down a well known soap star to somebody nobody knows?

Why turn down a well known soap star for a model no-one else knows? Personally I think both girls are gorgeous btw but would have gone with the better known one.

They filled their quota of 'sex sirens' and needed to up the ante with the men.

I don't think thats Jakes fault though, and I think he's an excellent campmate.

Jake is a bit of eye candy for the girls and obviously playing up to the cameras with his flirting and macho performance, Probably what he was asked to do ?

The live task was rubbish even Ant & Dec were struggling to create any sense of entertainment ( So not Jakes fault ) but the tasks were so boring compared to other live tasks prob the most entertaining bit was watching Jake trying to get rid of the green ants from his first task - I'm A Celeb must do better

Jake did fantastic, I cant believe people are critiscising him for getting 10 stars. Just cos he did it calmly without making a massive fuss doesn't mean it was easy. BTW they probably turned down Gemma Merna cos she is just another boring bimbo and the female viewers don't warm to that kind of character.

I actually thought this year's live trial was a lot better than than the past few years.
The live ones are never that great - they can't do anything too technical in case it goes wrong. Station trials are reliable and everything doesn't have to stop if the magic words get said.
Jake did make it look easy but that's because he just put his head down and got on with it. Most of those challenges were pretty hard - he had to pretty much sit with what looked like hundreds and hundreds of green ants nipping at him (which we know is painful) whilst having a steady enough hand to balance those cylinders, he had to transfer 20 bloody pig testicles (who wants to do that?), Tilt on the Cube is one of the hardest games and yet he managed it in a couple of tries with a massive Python round his neck and then managed to do Exchange with two big mud crabs going for him.
I thought it was an excellent trial. And I'm not even a fan of Jake.
Basically - the games he had to do are hard enough on their own, never mind with critters involved.

He was obviously invited to be there and made a good cash offer too. Why on earth should he refuse to go on and earn some cash. Ridiculous and nasty calling him a fame whore.

He had 3 lives in that game, which meant he had 3 goes at it and if he didn't get it in the hole in those three tries then he lost the game (and star) anyway.

If his music has he "claims" is his choosen career then reality tv should be a definete no especially so quick after leaving the last one

I don't hate him - I just don't like him and is the reason I stopped watching the show about half an hour after he came into it.

I thought he did ok, I have no idea who he is apart from reading he was on X Factor, which I avoid like the plague, and being a media whore, I thought I watch crap TV, but I have never come across him before I think I would have remembered his name.
He is ok so far.

If he had screamed/made a fuss as some might have done it would have been more
'fun' for Ant and Dec. Look how they laughed at Kendra when she was seemingly terrified.

I can't help but think had Mel or a more popular camp member on here completed that task with the ease and lack of fuss Jake did, they'd be getting far more credit for it.


He did have to put multiple pig testicles in his mouth. That's pretty rank.
