Do we know categorically how the final is going to be organised this year? Will it be interviews with four people as in Series 7 and 8, or a task with two people like last year?

1. Solomon. Something tells me he's got a really lucrative business plan.
2. Roisin. Like Helen in 2011, I think she'll end up the best overall, but be pipped at the last post.

3. Mark. Will just miss the final but Sugar will feel bad about it like Debra Barr.
4. Katie. Will go after lots of positivity and encouragement like Joanna in 2010.
5. James. Can't not see him getting to the interview stage. Will be ripped apart by Claude and receive a Jordan/Baggsy style firing.

6. Bianca. Last to go before the interview stage. Despite some bad mistakes, I think she's quite liked by Lord Sugar, Nick and Karen.
7. Daniel. Like Ben in Series 5 and Sophacles the year before, he'll come unstuck around here. However he goes I'm sure it'll be dramatic.
8. Sanjay. Will be the final "fired for not doing much" candidate.
9. Felipe. I really feel his time is up. He's been treading water for a while.

Now I'm going to sit back and watch that turn out to be horribly wrong

Yh I have always had a feeling Solomon would be in the final but I don't know why because he's been pretty useless so far

Final Five for interviews, if that;s what it's going to be.

Katie - One of the strongest candidates so far, could make the final two
Mark - A bit Marmite so a lot could depend on if he gets near the boardroom again
Roisin - Another strong candidate, lack of boardroom action could be her undoing
Solomon - Seems liked by everyone, and Al likes his tech products
James - will be kept in unless he does anything spectacularly stupid just for the entertainment value in the interviews.

Roisin, Katie and Mark are my top 3 picks.

I have a sneaky suspicion that Daniel's business plan is something LAS would be interested in, for I have no other explanation why he's still there, so he's my surprise top 5 candidate along with James who will get the Claude treatment.

It's interesting that people think James will be kept in for entertainment value during the interviews. How do we know that he doesn't have a really good business plan? For all we know, when it comes to interviews Claude and co will be impressed by him.

You can't always predict these things in advance. Stuart was one where predictions turned out to be accurate, but the biggest interview confrontation was undoubtedly Jordan from last year, and you wouldn't have guessed that until around Week 10. On the tasks, he was calm, professional and a very good performer, and it was only towards the last couple of weeks that it turned out his business proposal was appalling and his interview performance left a lot to be desired. Paul Tulip was another one like that, whereas Ricky was an example of the opposite scenario.

I probably think that way because James reminds me of Stuart. And sometimes he reminds me of Ben in that he has a bit of a Napoleon complex.

James could turn out to be golden, but I'm still leaning toward his plan being MLM.

I'm presuming you mean Ben Clarke? There have been four Bens, and none of them made the semi-finals. Clarke was the one who seems the most like what you are describing, although it was Zeeshaan who likened himself to Napoleon.

Next to be fired:-
Felipe: shown to be a fairly likeable guy and amusing distraction, but nothing has made him seem like a contender.
James: I don't think Sugar likes him that much and is growing tired of him. I think Daniel has taken over his role as the overblown male candidate with too much bravado who will provide entertainment at the interviews.
Sanjay: never really had much focus and when he has it seems to be negative.
Bianca: made huge errors that haven't been glossed over, the edit could be trying to explain why she doesn't make the interviews.

Having a random guess at it, I'd say Katie is the winner as her edit has a bit more fight and spark to it than the other major contenders.

I suspect the same. Other than being told to have a bit more of a spine in the week 2 boardroom, he's been quietly competent, well-liked and sells extremely well (note his big contributions on the coach tour and board game tasks). I'm surprised so many viewers have missed what has been a highly positive edit so far, arguably the most positive of all.

Also agree that Daniel, Sanjay and Felipe are all dead men walking. We've had female firees three weeks in a row. Definitely time for a bloke to go this week - one of those three or James for me.

Actually, in Series 8 there was not a single point beyond Week 1 where the men did not outnumber the women. That is the only series that this has happened - even in Series 1, which had a lot of female firees in the early weeks, it was balanced in the final with Tim and Saira.

James has about as much chance of winning this as Burnley have of winning the league! Sugar clearly just doesn't like the guy and isn't a suitable business partner for him James would make him look like a laughing stock

But in fairness, you'd have said that about Claire Young after the fourth episode of Series 4. Lord Sugar (Sir Alan as he was then) clearly hated her, and ordered her out of the boardroom. She didn't win, but she came second, and she holds the record for surviving the most boardroom appearances - Sugar had plenty of opportunities to fire her and didn't.

Ah, okay. Well unfortunately Series 4 isn't on YouTube (bits of it are, but not the whole series) but hopefully it will be up again one day. I only came across the show in Series 5, and didn't become an avid viewer for a couple of years after that, but I have watched every series via online videos.

I wouldn't have said that about Claire Young at all, Sugar didn't like her mouth, but her ability was never in question. He gave her a warning, which was heeded.
