Hi

Setting up a new games room for kids & have an old Cambridge Soundworks DTT2500 that I am looking to connect to a new 32" TV

The Surround amp has SPDIF in & Digital DIN connectivity (I have added link below to manaul)

http://ccftp.creative.com/Manuals/TS...500_Manual.pdf

The TV's I am looking to buy have following connections

Composite Video/Audio In (AV) 1
Digital Audio Output COAXIAL
Scart Inputs 1
USB Slots 1
VGA PC In Yes
Headphone Out Yes

or

HDMI connections 2 in
SCART connections 1 in
Composite connections 1 in
Component connections 1 in
Optical connections 1 out
SD Card slot None
Analog connections None

Will i be able to get any sound from TC to Surround sound kit?

The SPDIF In on the surround system can be connected to any TV with a digital audio output. The input on the surround system is a phono socket by the looks of it from the diagrams in the manual. This is also known as Coaxial.

If the TV also has a coaxial digital output on a phono socket then a simple phono plug to phono plug lead will do the job. If the TV has an optical digital connection (which many do) then you'll need an external box to convert coaxial to optical. Random example

So whatever TV is in your first list will connect with a simple lead. The TV in the second list will need a converter box.
