Frozen chilli stock cubes
Last week i bought some fresh chillies and am trying different ideas on storing them.
I made up some chicken stock and poured it into my ice cube tray and sliced a fresh chilli up and put a few pieces in each cube. I have hung a load on an airer next to my dehumidifier and hung a few in the airing cupboard. I've sliced a couple up and added to some olive oil. Any other ideas? |

I grow my own chillies and more often than not have a glut by the end of the season. All I do is wash them, dry them and then freeze them altogether in a bag. They have a waxy coat so they never stick together.
I then simply take out what I need when ever I need one. If I am stir frying or putting into a casserole, etc, I never even bother to defrost them - just slice them whilst frozen and add to the dishes. |

Did you know you can buy frozen chilli in ASDA ? They also sell frozen garlic. It's just very finely minced chilli or garlic frozen into small cubes that you pop straight into any dish you're making. They are super convenient to have in the freezer, I use them a lot.
