Currie's affair with John Major was before he became PM.

Currie had an affair. Kendra, just out of school, decided that sleeping with a 78 year old for a fancy lifestyle was the way to go rather than education. when she was talking about Heff she seemed quite repulsed about what she was actually saying, other bunnies have been very confident in their choices. My point is that she doesn't seem at ease with the choices she has made and I think it's affected her way of seeing things.
For her to claim she's inspiring people is beyond funny. Positively hysterical if you ask me. I think strong gaffer tape would have been the only thing to silence me into listening to her endless self-deluded bull poo. |

Can't bloody stand Edwina so I am glad Kendra told her to get stuffed.. She's not all prim and proper and innocent herself.

I can't stand Edwina or her politics, but she was spot on. Kendra embarrassed herself by spouting deluded and self-obsessed vacuous drivel, and then screamed at someone simply for pointing out the flaws in her argument.
"Inspiring", my arse. Silly little girl. |

I'm not a fan of Edwina by any stretch of the imagination but, like her I really couldn't have sat there and not challenged the ridiculous stuff that Kendra was spouting. Edwina challenged her - it wasn't aggressive it wasn't patronising she was simply giving her opinion.
Kendra overeacted and used foul language - I think she completely showed herself up. What a vain and pointless individual she is. |

Edwina wasn't 18 and John Major wasn't 78! It's like the old Mrs Merton joke reworked. "So, Kendra, what was it that attracted you to the billionaire Mr Heffner."

"Inspiring", my arse. Silly little girl. Edwina (and i really don't like her by the way, hate her politics and personal ethics) was not persecuting or bullying her, she merely took issue with a statement that could easily be interpreted as selfish and uncaring. And i really hated Kendra's "grown woman attacking a young girl, you should be ashamed of yourself" spiel. Kendra is an adult, not a child, she doesn't deserve special treatment for being younger than other camp mates. What wpuld the reaction have been if Edwina had said "don't answer me back, respect your elders". |

Have to agree. As I said on another thread, Kendra was happy to hold court (though to be fair Michael did ask her to talk about her life) but as soon as somebody challenged her philosophy (albeit in a rather aggressive manner) she couldn't articulate what she meant in a different way and was resorted to screaming foul language amidst accusations of persecution.

Well according to Wiki she's 29 and a mother of 2,hardly a young girl. She seems quite deluded as to how she sees herself.

The trouble with people like her...and it was evident last night...is the moment you disagree with them on anything it is taken as personal attack on them as opposed to disagreeing on an abstract or an idea.
I believe the sky is blue I believe it's more a grey colour Why are you attacking me? I'm just a poor young girl blah blah, putting me down etc etc. It was Kendra who used the personal terms/insults...not Edwina...and as to all the foul mouthed psycho babble. I would have thought shacking up with a geriatric when you should have been in college would at least have turned you into a master debater ...clearly not.

Kendra was out of order and could have won the battle if she d tried to act more ladylike, I dont think she understood what Edwina was getting at but the old dame must have been seething from the socks debacle earlier and waited to pounce.

Much as I dislike Edwina I was on her side in this
virtually pointless argument. Kendra has no sense of 'right' as she has lived her life in a self created bubble of false reality, and I noticed when she was picked for the next trial, she already started with the excuses,as per ' Oh well, we ate well for the last two nights!' Which I suspect is Kendraspeak for 'so I am not going to do ANYTHING in the trial....except shout OH MY GAWD! and say 'EWWWWW' a lot! |

I dont have a problem with the bunnies lifestyles. Crystal Harris and Holly Madison seem really nice, well adjusted, confident women. They talk about Heff matter of factly. Kendra doesn't seem comfortable talking about it, indeed she doesn't seem to be very happy with what she's done. It makes me uncomfortable hearing her, yet none of the other of Heff's women bother me. There's something I just cant put my finger on that makes it a bit yukky.

I'd guess that a woman who decided when she was 18 to whore herself out to an old man for trinkets will have a whole range of issues.

Sums her up to a tee. An insecure, neurotic, paranoid American former pin-up girl who considers her grubby climb to 'fame' as a 'journey' and 'growth' of 'self'. She joined the world's most famous brothel and slept with the world's most sleaziest pimp and claims it has 'made her the wife and mother that she is today' - give me a break. Her outburst showed how much class and intelligence she has - none. She's full of shite and uneducated shite at that.

I knew the "American" adjective would get thrown in the argument at some point.
The British public envy the confidence and ability of the Americans to be frank and speak their minds in public and private and expectation to be taken seriously without all the cap tugging and grovelling to their perceived betters. It's hostility born out of a deep seated and bitter resentment because of the way the British people feel compelled to live out their own lives in the pecking order of the class system, knowing they would have to kiss people like Edwina's ass if she clicked her fingers. It's terribly sad but terribly terribly true. |

Don't worry about it, it's really a compliment.

You think it's ok for young women to become 'property' of a scraggy old cu** and be expected to sleep with him whenever he likes?
I don't know who I despise more, Heffner or his "bunnies". In relation to the argument, I have no love for Edwina and I am 100% sure she started it deliberately but the way Kendra spoke to her was unacceptable and she showed herself up for the nasty piece of work she really is. |

The whole thing certainly caused a uncomfortable atmosphere in the camp. I hated how everyone seemed to rally round Kendra just because she lacked the courage of her convictions to debate the issue she had raised. I suspect she'll get voted for the tasks all the time now and the camp will go hungry.
