CHRISTMAS DAY, 8PM

Secrets and lies have a habit of coming out in Walford, and this Christmas is no exception. Since arriving in the square the Carter family has settled in to The Queen Victoria, but although Mick may think that everything is running smoothly for his family he is unaware that a few of them are harbouring dark secrets of their own. Linda has been through the most traumatic experience of her life, raped by Mick's brother Dean. Worried what the truth will do to Mick and the repercussions it will have on their family, Linda has kept it to herself... but for how long?

Since Mick was born Shirley has been burdened with the secret that she is not Mick's sister, but his mother. A secret she has been desperate to keep hidden. But with all the family gathered for Christmas and a surprise appearance from Shirley's long-lost mother Sylvie, will Shirley's shameful secret stay buried?

As Mick is pulling out all the stops to make the Carter family's first Christmas in The Queen Victoria perfect, it seems as though the rest of the family are desperately trying to keep their secrets. But with ticking time bomb Dean lurking, the Carters are set to explode....

Why have I got an image in my head of Danny Dyer doing a Timothy Spall impression here? 'Secrets and lies!! It's all secrets and lies!!!'

That's the synopsis for the whole fortnight I think.

So Christmas at EE will be a very merry Carter Xmas Eve, Carter Xmas Day and Carter Boxing Day.

Tbh I don't think they are using this family enough.

This is the first EE Christmas in a long time that I'm actually not looking forward to. I am sick of the Carter show at the moment.

It's on the BBC website I think. Exciting stuff I can't wait for Mick to find out Shirley's his mum Buster's his dad and Dean is his full brother. What will he say? And when he finds out what Dean did to Linda.......

Although the Carters are good, for them to be dominating in this manner is unfair. There are other people living in that Square.

Oh right, thanks.

Me too. It's shaping up to be an explosive Christmas with the Linda rape reveal and Mick/Shirley/Buster reveal. I'm also looking forward to Sylvie's arrival and Stan's reaction to the reveals. Still kind of hoping that Buster be out of prison and turn up in the midst of all the chaos, I think they'll miss a trick if he isn't there. I don't mind it being dominated by the Carters, it is their first Christmas and they are all good characters. Plus the stories are brilliant.

No mention of Stan I thought Christmas Day or New Years Eve, would have been perfect for his death.

At least with it being all Carters, means off screen, a fairly happy christmas fir the other families.

Hope we get a few Beale scenes on Christmas Day, showing them on there first Christmas without Lucy

But isn't the Linda rape "reveal" only to Sharon? I'm sure that's what was stated on a DS news story last week

I cant see Stan dying on New Years Eve. The big story on Christmas day is usually rested over New Year because of filming reasons. Think New Year's Day will be Lucy related and Ronnie may give birth over the New Year( Perhaps straight at midnight) with Kat delivering the baby.

I think Linda confides in Stacey in a few weeks and then not long after, Mick finds out.

I agree and I hope Buster's back soon. His supposed to be Phil's enemy so that should be good. I might be wrong but I think Phil is going to be so jealous of him and Shirley! Serves him right!

I've only ever missed one Christmas deliberately, and that was the Branning Christmas. This one looks like the best for many years...unmissable for me.

People are writing of the episodes before they have aired so maybe watch a couple and don't judge the episodes until they have aired. Why do Eastenders fans on here judge an episode before it airs. For all we know it could be epic drama because it would be good to see Mick's reaction and Shirley and Nancy's reaction about Dean raping Linda and to see the reactions of Shirley's secret.

Because some people love filling in spoiler gaps with ideas of their own. Some ideas will then turn into facts in their mind, until the episodes are shown and they are nothing like people imagined and end up looking silly for making things up.

Well people on here should watch the episodes first and then judge because Im sure the acting will be amazing. If people on here like Eastendes then they wouldn't judge the episodes before they are on tv.
