it was so annoying and horrible to hear. was bad enough hearing it again twice on radio 1 this morning.

I agree. It was quite something.
Not something I'd do myself but it was impressive that Edwina could hold her call for so long and it had the double function of clearing the path of any wild animals for quite some way. 
I'm not convinced that she held it as long as it was shown.

I think so too. Crew probably said that if she did it they would lick her fat ego. Not much other reason to do it, she could have just shouted Mel.

I thought it was impressive. I don't care if it was attention seeking or whatever, it was probably the most 'entertaining' thing to me on last nights show, that's not saying much by the way.
