ED what exactly has Lachlan supposed to have done? Phyco Belle!!

At first I thought he must have just stalked a girl, but then when his mum started talking about taking photos and then asked him if he had done something to hurt Belle in any way, I was wondering if he had groomed a girl in the past. Belle is under 16 right? Also I was pretty shocked by her violent behaviour last night. There was no need for her to do that. Ok maybe she felt scared but in no way was he being threatening towards her, I felt it was totally unnecessary. She's just killed her best friend from a bump to the head, so she goes and whacks something hard at Lachlans head?! What if he had fell back and hit his head? You can't just go around hitting anyone over the head! She needs serious help fast! Also was wondering if she caused her injuries herself and will now pretend Lachlan attacked her and that she hit his head in self defence. She's not going to want to go back inside for unprovoked assault.

From the talk they had, I assume in the past he tried to force himself onto a girl.

If that is the case then why is she so adamant that he is a "good boy"

A lot of parents will defend their child to the world at large even if they've done questionable things in the past.

From last night's conversation he's clearly done something bad but it's fairly understandable that she wouldn't want to share that with rest of the village especially if this is supposed to be a new start for them.
And extra understandable that she wouldn't confess all to the Dingle lynch mob.

But her face didn't act as it should have done, after Cain left, she just sighed she didn't look worried, which is what she should have done knowing that her boy is capable of something bad

Did anyone else find it quite strange that before last night, nothing had been mentioned about him having done something bad in the past?

I suppose it depends how bad the thing he did was. Clearly bad enough that she doesn't trust him and questions what he's been up to but we don't know more than that.
So depending on the severity of his previous actions her response could have been quite appropriate. Or her acting wasn't very good. I guess we'll know one way or the other once the secret is out.

True, but this was the first time it was mentioned that he had done something and this was a fresh start.

Perhaps she is after a job as an editor. Sorry, sorry, I couldn't resist it. Happy_Mummy.
