I notice a few questions were being asked about Edwina, our nation's new moral guardian, and her past affair with former Prime Minister John Major. Here is the Wiki entry for this:

"Affair with John Major:

Currie's Diaries (1987–92), published in 2002, caused a sensation, as they revealed a four-year affair with John Major between 1984 and 1988 while both were married to other people. The affair started while she was a backbencher and Major was the government whip in Margaret Thatcher's government. After Major's promotion to Chief Secretary to the Treasury, the relationship ended, but the two remained friends. Currie apparently ceased the affair when it became dangerous and impractical owing to the presence of bodyguards who had to be avoided.

After publication, John Major made a statement saying that he was ashamed of the affair and had privately revealed the matter to his wife. Currie admitted to having been in love with him for years after the end of the affair, and that he had been "the love of her life." However, only weeks after revealing the affair, she publicly criticised Major, accusing him of sexism and racism and of being "one of the less competent prime ministers".

The admission came after years of denial of any affair while in office....."

"Sometimes you just have to put other people first." Just not always your husband, kids, or someone else's wife.

I look forward to being lectured on tolerance by Nick Griffin.

Oh, by the way, I don't particulalry like Kendra either.

No one is pure as driven snow or completely innocent. Whatever you have done in your life does not negate the fact that you are perfectly entitled to give your opinion when you think someone else is wrong (irrespective of whether they are or not; we all have our own views).

I don't claim to be whiter than white. Does that preclude me from offering my opinion on a wide range of subjects? Are you whiter than white? Because as a DS poster you do the same thing.

The concept of someone having to refrain from offering an opinion because of something that they may have done in their own life is utterly ridiculous.

Let the past be the past.

Agree with this. I mean it wasn't like Edwina was berating Kendra for an affair (in which case I would think her an awful hypocrite). She was just expressing an opinion (albeit in an incendiary way).

One should be thoughtful and self-aware of one's own failings when one is attempting to claim the moral high ground, otherwise one opens one's self up to the prospect of being accused of being a hypocrite.

Everyone is of course entitled to their opinion but I think it is a good idea to give it in a reasoned, thoughtful and constructive way, especially if your own past stinks like a sewer.

I do remember the day it became public knowledge John Major had had an affair.

And I remember thinking 'If even John Major has had an affair whilst married, then I must be the only bloke in the whole of the UK who's never been unfaithful'.

You are not wrong in what you say, but Edwina wasn't taking the moral highground on anything. She was simply disagreeing with Kendra's "inspirational" pontificating about never putting anyone first, and living your life to suit yourself, which she was perfectly entitled to do. Kendra just took offence to being disagreed with, she is obviously used to being held in very high regard for her opinions in whatever wacky world she lives in.

There is not one of them in there, or anywhere else for that matter, who has a whiter than white past life, but as has been already pointed out by another poster, they are all entitled to an opinion. And nobody has the right to speak to someone like the way Kendra spoke to Edwina, and tell them to STFU and go back to sleep where she belongs! Cheeky bitch lost all moral ground high or otherwise, as soon as she behaved like that!

Know what you mean, John & Norma Major were/are such a lovely seemingly well balanced couple, that you think jeeeeezzzzz nooooooo! And just to add insult to injury John chooses Edwina Currie. I couldn't decide what shocked me the most, the lovely John (my local MP at the time) cheating on Norma or cheating with EC. who has always struck me as a hard, overbearing, rather unattractive woman.

Wonder if that mark on her left shoulder is a result of a kinky sex game gone wrong. Maybe the wound from an extremely powerful ejaculation even

Merely calling a spade a spade

I'm not particularly bothered whether anyone thinks that's morally right or wrong, I give my opinion on what I see, and Kendra acted exactly like a spoilt bitch!

Everyone makes mistakes and no one is whiter than white. We all make mistakes and you can learn and apologise for them. But she also sued a news paper for saying she cheated and swore she was faithful and took the settlement. If she had an ounce of any decency then was the time to hold her hands up and apologise to those she had hurt. She waited until she sold the story in her book release. So yeah I'm still judging her.

I just thought it was funny when you said Kendra didn't have the right to say what she did to Edwina and then you called her a bitch

So you think calling a bitchy person a bitch is equal to the tirade Kendra treated Edwina to? Glad you think it's funny, I don't. I think it's a very sad reflection on how young people think they have a God given right to speak and treat people how they feel like it, and are excused for their behaviour time and time again because the person they aimed their vitriol at is known for an extra marital affair that she opened up about years ago. As if it's some kind of competition. Kendra Wilkinson is not a nice person, from what I've known of her, and if she had spoken to me like that I would not have been so gracious about it as Edwina was. To suggest people can only object to her obnoxious and outrageous treatment of a person for disagreeing with her if they don't express themselves in calling her what she is. is in all honesty a bit pathetic! Now I think you have made your point, you like Kendra, I don't, so we should really move on now.

So if you have ever done anything immoral, as you call it, (although personally I don't think having an affair is immoral), you are then never allowed ever to have an opinion or pull someone up on something, ever, ever. How strange!

So Edwina wasn't allowed to say that when you have children or other people to care about sometimes you should put them first.

Which means that if you have ever been an alcoholic you are not allowed to be a drink counsellor, if you have had a drug problem you are not allowed to speak to others about the dangers of drugs, if you have ever murdered anyone you are not allowed to speak to people afterwards about the dangers of crime. So Edwina has to carry this thing around with her for the rest of her life and never ever speak about anything ever again.

Sorry think you've got this wrong as I've stated in previous threads I don't agree with Kendra or Edwinas conduct or hypocrites because if you're not perfect why question someone else ie Edwina . I think you should be addressing the people on here who use viterol towards contestants . I think it is fair to look at both contestants back ground if your going to say one is not a nice person their both as bad as each other in different ways and after all it is only a TV show . It's all in the edit and contestants do what the producers want to stir things up . I've made my point thankyou

It's more worrying that she gave Jimmy Saville a phony Doctorate and allowed him unlimited access to Broadmoor. I couldn't care less who she's shagged tbh.

And Michael mentioned tonight he wished he'd pushed him off a bridge as he'd allways hated him the camp mates all cheered
