I don't know about everyone else but I am fed up of affair stories/secret wives/families, dishonest partners and the constant turn over of couples on EE.
I would love to see some more strong, loyal and faithful couples on the square. I see a LOT of potential in some of the current couplings should they keep them together and would much rather see couples take on things together rather than constantly having affairs or suddenly bringing in secret families from the past. The amount of affairs that Phil, Kat, Max and so on have had, is just ridiculous imo.
*Charlie and Ronnie have the potential to become the squares next power couple and together they bring the Cottons and Mitchells together.
*Sharon and Phil, although off to a rocky start, I can see TPTB building up Sharon as a matriarchal role in the Mitchells. Sharon was always going to become a Mitchell again and I think they will redeem Phil and Sharon as a couple. Letitia Dean has said in interviews that Phil and Sharon should be together.
*Shirley and Buster, although we have only just met Buster, I think that he and Shirley have the potential to become a brilliant couple. They have instant chemistry, great banter, history and there seems to be mutual affection between them.
*Mick and Linda, they may be going through a rough patch but I'd like to see TPTB bring them out of this a stronger unit rather than splitting them up.
I would much rather TPTB created new stories and kept couples together for the long haul rather than falling back on the typical affair stories or pairing characters up because they are both at loose ends. (Ahem, Ian and Denise) Anyone else or just me?
